★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been eating at Hanok for a long time and finally brought my friends along this week, and WOW, I’ve been missing out! I got to try more dishes from the menu and I’m still thinking about how delicious it was. You HAVE to try the soft tofu soup and the pork over rice, both are absolutely amazing! They always give kimchi on the side and it’s the best in all of Ktown 100%Huge shoutout to the boss lady and the staff for being so thoughtful and accommodating. One of my friends has dietary restrictions, and finding food options in K-Town was tough, but they went out of their way to help. Kind service like that makes all the difference. Will come back soon!
March 20 · Parima BajracharyaNestled in the Ktown food gallery, Hanok Korean House is the definition of unassuming. However, surrounded by a sea of other options for Korean food, I still think that Hanok stands out. The pancake was perfectly crunchy, the pork was rich and plentiful, and we didn’t wait very long. All in all, would recommend for a quick snack in Ktown or a more substantial meal.
May 21 · Zachary ZhuMy go to place in Korea town if I’m craving Korean and fast service (no table waiting). I used to come here often for quick bite before my classes and came back after a while and it didn’t disappoint. Their Korean bbq, army stew and kimchi stew is just chef kiss. This time I got soft tofu soup with kimchi topping. And it was so soothing, perfect for this gloomy nyc weather. Highly recommend these dishes!!!
May 15 · T. YoudonThe food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were very satisfying. We ordered chicken bibimbap, pork tofu kinchi and a vegetable pancake. All of them were tasty and I highly recommended everyone totry it. They served a great selection of complimentary banchan, which made the meal even better.
March 12 · Samriddha MallaRarely ever felt the need to write a negative review, but felt the need to warn other customers of this place. I visited March 7, 2025 at 8:22pm and ordered a large army stew with extra soup on the side. There were 2 men working in the front with one of them at the register and the other packing the food. Two more men worked in the back making the food. After placing my order, the guy at the register placed a small soup container on the table and told the guy packing the food that I ordered extra soup. The guy packing the food looked at me, laughed, and shook his head. Then, the same guy packing the food spoke to the men working in the back. They turned around and looked at me, and giggled. I’m confused why they laughed since I never asked if I could have extra soup for free. I said I will pay extra for it. Instead of telling me they don’t do extra soup on the side, the guy packing my food was snarky and in the end, did not give me the extra soup. I wasn’t going to write a review, but when I got home and opened my food, there was a piece of hair in the soup on the side. I can’t help but wonder if this was on purpose, since the guy that was snarky and laughed at me was the same guy who packed the soup on the side and the side dishes. I waited in front of the counter, so I saw that he was the one packing all the orders and occasionally went to the back to fill soup into the containers. Pictures attached as proof of what I ordered and proof of the hair in the soup. Most of the other vendors in the same food gallery would charge me a few extra dollars and give me extra soup on the side. I’ve ordered this way many times and never ran into a problem with the other vendors. Also, many reviews here have mentioned food poisoning and I’m not surprised as I saw some unsafe food practices when I was waiting. I trashed my whole order away.
