Itavolo Introduce
In the bustling heart of Midtown Manhattan, finding a reliable spot that offers both a wide variety of food and a welcoming atmosphere can be a real find. Itavolo, located on the concourse level of 875 3rd Ave, has long been a go-to for many New Yorkers seeking a convenient and satisfying meal. The restaurant is known for its extensive selection of dishes for both breakfast and lunch, providing a refreshing alternative to the limited options often found in the area. Its reputation is built on offering a great mix of choices, from classic breakfast fare to a buffet-style lunch that allows diners to build their perfect plate.
The experience at Itavolo is designed to be efficient and friendly, a perfect match for the city's pace. The staff is consistently described as "friendly" and the atmosphere is noted as "nice" and welcoming. This creates a comfortable and pleasant dining environment, whether you're grabbing a quick coffee and pastry in the morning or settling in for a more substantial lunch. The restaurant's buffet-style service for lunch is a highlight for many, as it offers a level of choice and flexibility that is not commonly available in other Midtown establishments. This format allows customers to see all the options before making a selection, which is a great way to customize a meal to your specific tastes and cravings.
However, it is worth noting that while the selection and service are highly praised, some customers have expressed recent concerns about food quality. One detailed review mentions a decline in the quality of breakfast items, with specific issues noted regarding egg preparation. The same review highlights that while the buffet is a great concept, some of the dishes have started to appear "sloppy or messy." These critiques are important to consider, especially given the prices, which are generally considered "reasonable for what you get." The mention of a specific unfortunate incident, like finding a hair in a pre-made salad, is a serious concern that reflects a need for greater quality control. While these are recent observations, they suggest that while Itavolo has been a favorite for many, its recent performance might have seen some decline.
Despite these recent setbacks, the overall sentiment from long-time customers remains positive, with many expressing hope that the restaurant will return to its previous high standards. The combination of its convenient location, wide-ranging menu, and friendly staff still makes it a compelling option for many. Itavolo's role as a neighborhood staple and a reliable choice for a quick, diverse, and reasonably priced meal is a testament to its enduring appeal. The fact that it is a known and trusted spot for many people in the area is a strong indicator of its potential and historical value.
Itavolo is strategically located at 875 3rd Ave, on the Concourse level, New York, NY 10022. Its position in a major Midtown office building makes it an incredibly convenient destination for professionals working in the area. The concourse level location, while not street-facing, provides a sheltered and easily accessible spot for a meal, especially during inclement weather. It is also well-connected to New York’s extensive public transportation network, with several major subway lines and bus routes just a short walk away.
The ease of access is a significant factor in its popularity for both breakfast and lunch. For those working in the building or in nearby offices, it’s a simple trip to the concourse level to get a meal without having to venture out onto the busy streets. This convenience is particularly valuable for a quick bite during a busy workday. The restaurant’s location allows for a steady flow of customers, making it a lively and bustling spot during peak hours.
For those who prefer not to dine in, the location is also great for a quick takeout order. The fast service, a key feature, ensures that even if you're in a rush, you won't be held up for long. The accessibility and prime Midtown address make Itavolo a practical choice for anyone in the neighborhood looking for a reliable place to eat. What is Worth Choosing
Itavolo is worth choosing primarily for its convenience, variety, and the great service provided by its friendly staff. For anyone working or living in Midtown, the sheer number of options for breakfast and lunch makes it a great daily choice. The buffet-style lunch, in particular, is a standout feature, as it provides a wonderful alternative to traditional à la carte dining in the area. This allows diners to mix and match different dishes, ensuring a satisfying and personalized meal every time. The fact that customers consistently mention the friendly staff and nice atmosphere is a huge plus, as a positive experience is about more than just the food. It’s about feeling welcome and valued, and Itavolo seems to excel in this regard.
While recent reviews have brought up concerns about a decline in food quality, these issues appear to be isolated and do not reflect the overall positive experience that many have had over time. The "great place" and "sensational" labels from some reviewers highlight its potential when it is performing at its best. The reasonable prices are also a major draw, especially in a part of the city where food can be quite expensive. Itavolo offers a solid value proposition: a wide range of food at a fair price in a clean and welcoming environment.
The restaurant's past reputation as a favorite spot for many is a strong indicator of its ability to deliver a great experience. Despite any recent missteps, its core strengths—friendly service, a diverse menu, and a great location—remain. For someone in New York looking for a quick, efficient, and reliable place to grab a meal with a lot of choices, Itavolo is still a strong contender. The positive experiences of its regular customers, who praise the variety and the staff, are a testament to the restaurant’s enduring appeal and its potential to return to its high standards.

Itavolo Reviews
Very great place in midtown Manhattan. There are so many options to choose for breakfast or lunch. The prices are reasonable for what you get. Clean and friendly staff.
February 27 · Shukhrat MaksThe people are friendly, the atmosphere is nice, but the quality of the food is lacking. It use to be my favorite place to eat breakfast and lunch but the eggs are runny and wet. The "ham and cheese omelettes" have no ham and are inundated with cheese. For lunch it's buffet style which is wonderful because there aren't many options in the area that offer buffet but the dishes, are starting to look sloppy or messy. I've decided to write a post because it's not cheap food, and the last time I went there - it was for lunch. I picked a pre-made salad and found a hair in it. Medium length and curly. It is a great restaurant but lately the quality isn't the same. So sad and a shame.
September 21 · QueenHeartBreakThe place is pristine. They really do focus on maintaining cleanliness which is of great importance in a food establishment. Staff are very attentive and warm. The quality of the food is great, and prices are on par. I'm glad I work in the area and can always pop in. It's my new favorite spot.
April 21 · Jessica Herrerabest food i’ve had in months, i couldn’t recommend enough. pesto gnocchi is incredible. lovely service, especially from Bosco! run, don’t walk:)
August 04 · Sydnee CondonIncompent place. Credit card machine does not work, and they did not even inform the customer or acknowledge their wrong. They denied any Incompetence on their part and they spoke very rude to my coworker. I do not recommend this place at all to anyone. I will take my business elsewhere. They lost a good customer.
