★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A very mediocre experience with upscale prices. Appetizers were great with classic French class and delectable flavors( frogs legs in particular). Mains, however, were mediocre in quality. For example I got a steak and it tasted out of the freezer. Expect to pay about $150 per person and for that price it’s unacceptable. It wasn’t a bad steak but it definitely tasted as it had seen fresher days.Service was also mediocre. The manager who was serving as well was great, but the server was horrible and impatient. He wasn’t mean or anything but twice he didn’t take time to explain the menu to the point where dessert was an issue. I was in middle of asking him about what it is and he just grabbed the menu and said you will like it. Turns out it was a flan which I never like no matter how good it was.Overall I do NOT recommend this place. It’s overpriced and does NOT live up to proper standards.
September 04 · Avrom WWe had dinner at La Goulue with my girlfriend and it was a wonderful experience. The service was smooth and nice especially our runner César, who was very friendly and took the time to explain the dishes and meet all our expectations. The manager also gave us a very warm welcome. Highly recommend it!
September 05 · Arnaud kouskousHOW TO GET IN: I did a walk in at 8 pm on a Saturday and did not have to wait. The service is good and the food is good too, we had French onion soup and tried the soufflé. They were satisfying, and we did a walk in and were seating promptly. The manager was very nice and gracious and greeted us and made sure we were doing okay. They also have shows in the back which I think is the best part. I had no idea and saw they had a cabaret. I would for sure come back here for an intimate dinner with the girls. They did a wonderful job with the show especially.
May 16 · Neha LuthraLa Goulue is a beautiful French restaurant in New York with an elegant atmosphere and great service. I was pleasantly surprised by the sushi,it was fresh, light, and perfectly prepared. The lobster salad was also excellent, full of flavor and presented beautifully. A wonderful spot to enjoy a mix of classic French dishes with some unexpected but very well-done.
August 22 · John GonsalvesI don’t usually like wasting my time writing bad reviews, I just avoid going back to the same place. That said, the place was cozy and nice, the service was great, and the wine, asparagus, and salad were all very good. However, the steak was the worst I’ve ever had. Honestly, I’d rather pay double the price than be served such low quality meat. It tasted like pre-frozen and was extremely tough to chew.
