★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The most important part first: there are two nice clean restrooms. If you are traveler or tourist who needs a restroom in the Upper East Side, this is a good option. I am giving the review more stars out of appreciation of the restroom. In NYC, it’s a big deal.My dining experience at this location however wasn’t great. Service was really, really, really slow. A server didn’t approach our table to say hello until we were seated for 20 minutes and I gave a glance. She didn’t return with water for another 15 minutes and the quiche and salad we ordered didn’t come for another 30 minutes after that. I don’t think it’s because they were preparing and baking the quiche fresh in the back. Ordered salad with two changes — neither were met. At least the server was honest — “I can return it and ask them to fix it but it may take a really long time for the next one.” I appreciated her honesty and ate around the dressing I asked for on the side. Would I go back? Probably. But not too hungry and with low expectations.
September 06 · Jen MaidenbergThe food is great, it’s the definition of comfy food! I had their tomato and basil soup and it was perfect. Also, their French doughnut is fantastic! I recommend going there for brunch!
March 18 · Beca MunaiarAuthentic food, great taste but a bit warm in summer
July 13 · Khasha ShariatiAmazing rustic place with great bowls and salad bowls, great portions and deliciously made, and the table jams and hazelnut spread are so goodd!
September 02 · AlbinaThe worst cappuccino and croissant I’ve ever had in the city.I ordered a cappuccino because I don’t like lattes, but it was overly milky, completely overpowering the coffee flavor. To top it off, there was no latte art, yet the price was absurdly high. The croissant? Honestly, I couldn’t tell the difference from a Costco one. I have no idea how this place became a chain.Normally, I wouldn’t bother leaving a review, but I hope this saves someone else from the same disappointment. Never going back.
