★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Lord’s is a cozy, well-executed spot that’s perfect for date night. The food is high quality and easy to share, with thoughtful flavors throughout the menu. The duck pie with chanterelles and Swiss chard is the standout — rich, tender filling wrapped in flaky pastry, paired with pickled turnips and fig. Easily the best duck pie I’ve had in NYC. The limited daily burger is also worth trying — juicy, cheesy, and served on a satisfying pretzel-style bun. Great atmosphere, great food.
May 12 · ELords was a 3.5 - 4 star experience through and through. I walked by this place one morning and decided to check it out for dinner. The food is solid, likely nothing you’ll write home about. The menu is creative and there are a lot of options for everyone, which I did appreciate.Scotch Egg: I started with the scotch egg which was maybe the one item I was looking forward to most and I was slightly disappointed. It’s solid. If you’re curious about it, get it. But I will say I found it dry and while flavorful, fell short in the tzatziki esq sauce that accompanied it. The egg was perfectly cooked though.Snap pea salad: if you’re looking for a refreshing salad this will do the job. The snap peas were great and so was the sheep’s cheese. The dressing maybe could’ve used some more pizzaz.Chips: Hot, crispy, a little oily. Mine was very very salty. Overall, enjoyed.Duck Mince Pie: I wanted to love this. It was solid, but it wasn’t great. The pastry left a little bit to be desired and for $40 you’re just kinda sitting there wondering if it was worth it. The duck was lovely though and the sauce the pie sat it was also very tasty (enjoyed dipping my chips in it).Apple Rhubarb Crisp: Very good! Once the honey ice cream melts and the flavor comes together, this hits the spot. I appreciated that it wasn’t too sweet.Vibes: The restaurant is decorated very cute and homey. The large bathroom has maybe the prettiest toilet seat I’ve ever seen + funny framed wall quotes by the sink. However, as other diners have said, the ambient noise level in the restaurant is quite loud, which makes it hard to hear your dinner party at times. I think they would benefit from some noise absorbing decor or better spacing some of the tables.
June 11 · Sydney LadnerWe ordered the lamb egg, the famous burger and fries, duck pie, oyster, and tuna on toast. My favorite is the tuna it’s so flavorful and fresh! The burger is pretty greasy 😭
August 16 · Zoe YangBe warned - they only serve 12 burgers per night so if you have a late reservation you will not be getting one. That being said, the food here is excellent albeit with small portions. In particular, the Crab & Uni Toast was loaded up with sweet and salty crab which was nicely balanced with lemon juice. The Curried Lamb Scotch Egg was also fantastic, with a cooked shell of ground, spicy lamb enclosing the egg - it was an unexpected combination of flavors that were irresistible. For dessert, you need to try the Sticky Toffee Ice Cream, which is unlike most anything I've had before. It tastes like an ice cream cake, with bits of a cake-like substance in the ice cream itself. It's delicious!
February 17 · Ryan TammaroIt’s a lovely place with amazing lighting and a gorgeous combination wood and dark teal walls (even the bathroom was gorgeous)The staff were chill and nice, not pretentious or anything, and I really appreciated the coat check-in service! The food was really good, not exceptional (to me! My partner loved most of the dishes tho, in particular the scotch eggs), I found the uni to have a strong smell and the lemon toast under it to be a bit chewy rather than crunchy. But I specifically enjoyed the mushroom dish a lot! However, everything was on a salty side. The dessert was amazing tho, so so so good! And the drinks were really good too.Overall, it was a nice experience, but I have other places before Lord’s to go back to
