Magnolia Bakery - Rockefeller Center Reviews
Man, this used to be my go-to spot, like, three years ago. I just got back to NY after all that time, and I was so hyped to get that banana pudding I loved. But it was a total letdown. The staff was super rude. I get that it's probably crazy busy, but they weren't even paying attention to what I was ordering. And the pudding? They served it warm, not cold, so that first bite after all this time was a huge bummer. Plus, the taste was totally different. Way more whipped cream and less of everything else. Seriously bummed.
September 17 · Rasagna PolamarasettyThe bakery is small and tight but the desserts are beautifully displayed and look delicious. The banana pudding is the best and definitely a must try. And I live in NC where my mother, grandmother in law and sister in law can make the best homemade banana pudding ever. It is absolutely amazing and just as good as the homemade version. What is so great is that there are 3 sizes to choose from. I did try the strawberry banana pudding and suggest you do not waste your money. It didn’t taste like anything. Stick with the original banana pudding. Price was not bad and a little surprised that it wasn’t higher due to the quality and popularity. We had the cookies before and they were good. Again, the spot is cute, small and always crowded so go early. You will thank me later!!!
June 29 · Monica CFinally tried the famous Banana Pudding and also the new Pumpkin Pudding. Worth the hype! They are soooo delicious that I could eat them all day long. So don't walk - run to the famous Magnolia Bakery for both of these goddess desserts from heaven ☁️
September 10 · Mai DehI was not very impressed with the coffee, I did not feel there was my taste or that I liked it.The banana pudding was nice, but it was very sweet and was quite a heavy consistency . I am not a fan of how they separate you into banana pudding and coffees and everything else in the shop and I think it would be better if it was just one queue because it means that you have to chase up after your order.
August 01 · Kat BDepending on the day and what show was playing close by at Radio City Music Hall there will be a different type of crowd.this magnolia bakery is pretty small. There is no place to sit. It’s pretty much get in and get out. At certain times there will be a line due to the shows getting out nearby and people walking by Rockefeller Center, the street fairs, or Time Square. They have the banana pudding ready to go. Food is fresh. The line may be long, but it moves pretty quickly and staff is pretty attentive. I say everybody should try magnolia bakeries banana pudding at least once. So worth it!
