Mucci's Italian Market Introduce
For decades, Italian delis have been the backbone of New Jersey’s culinary identity, and in Saddle Brook, Mucci's Italian Market carries that torch. This establishment operates not just as a deli, but as a full-service Italian market, providing Bergen County locals with a destination for authentic Italian flavors, high-quality cold cuts, and homestyle prepared meals. It is a family-owned and operated fixture in the community, embodying the philosophy of "Always homemade, always Italian."
Mucci's Italian Market is built around convenience and quality, making it the perfect spot for a "Quick visit" whether you’re rushing to grab lunch, picking up dinner ingredients, or needing catering for an event. Their reputation is tied to crafting many items in-house, ensuring a level of freshness and authenticity that is often difficult to find. From their famous Arancini (riceballs) to homemade mozzarella and sausage, the market prides itself on doing the work so New Jersey families don't have to.
The market caters to the fast-paced lifestyle of North Jersey residents. On any given day, customers can find a wide range of options, including fresh bread delivered daily, their own line of specialty pastas and ravioli, and a rotating selection of prepared foods, soups, and salads—all made right on the premises. Beyond their prepared foods and deli counter, Mucci's acts as a mini-market for imported goods, carrying a full line of olive oils, imported tomatoes, cheeses, cookies, and dried meats. Essentially, whatever Italian delicacy you might be craving, from a simple, perfectly built hero to the components for a sophisticated home-cooked meal, Mucci’s aims to be your one-stop destination.
The deli is a particularly popular spot for commuters and workers in the area, offering a variety of hot and cold sandwiches. The menu features classic Italian heroes, which can be made with premium imported Italian cold cuts such as Capicolla, Proscuitto, and Soppresata, alongside American-style options like Turkey, Roast Beef, and Ham. The daily specials, including hot sandwiches, paninis, and hot platters like pasta dishes or Chicken Parmigiana, provide excellent variety for regulars.
While the goal is to provide exceptional, homemade food, and the market takes pride in its delicious creations, as with any local, busy establishment, customer experiences can sometimes vary. Past feedback suggests that while the quality and authenticity of the core items—like the homemade Arancini and fresh mozzarella—are highly valued, patrons should be mindful of how certain menu items, such as the "Panini of the Day," are prepared, and that the quality of service, particularly concerning food handling practices, is an area where the business may need to improve to meet the high standards of their loyal customers.

The homemade mozzarella, sausage, and especially the famous Arancini are what truly differentiate Mucci's. These are the kinds of specialties that transport you directly to a classic Italian nonna’s kitchen, offering a true taste of Italy right here in Saddle Brook.

Catering Expertise for Corporate and Personal Events: The market actively welcomes corporate accounts and specializes in catering, making it a reliable source for large Italian hero platters, antipasto trays, and hot food for any gathering. This focus on large-scale service makes them a go-to vendor for local businesses and families hosting parties.
While it is crucial for patrons to be aware of the expressed concerns regarding consistency in item preparation and internal food handling protocols, the core value of Mucci’s remains in its dedication to scratch-made Italian staples and its role as a key local resource for authentic Italian ingredients and meals.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Thought from the photos that this would be a good place to try. We ordered the “Panini of the Day” which consisted of Grilled Turkey, Fontina and Basil. It was definitely not a panini that was served. Just a regular warm sandwich with dried basil, melted cheese and deli turkey. The pre-made food was slim pickings as well. Unfortunately, not a good choice .
November 25 · Elizabeth pMy first time here. Went in an purchased some pre-made food. A young girl used her bare hands to pick the food out of the glass case! Like reached in and picked up cutlets one by one with her bare hands! She was friendly but obviously not trained in food handling. Also, we wanted some of the fig cookies and she literally shuffled through the cookies with bare hands to pick the fig ones out. We took everything home, kissed it up to God and hoped for the best. Its just "okay" food. A bit expensive but everything is these days. For an Italian deli, it's not my first or second choice.
July 01 · Vincenza 2My wife and I usually go here for an Italian sub every time we are in town, its one of trh best around. The service is fast, friendly and the food is delicious. Last time, we picked up some of their fresh marinara to go with some meatballs we were making, and the sauce was perfect. I also tried the chicken parmigiana sandwich it was good, but it could have been warmed up a little more.
August 09 · Nathan TournahuGreat selection of sandwiches and they are absolutely enormous! Also have frozen dishes to take and bake.
July 24 · Adam JohnsonI went there to get a sandwich. We have ordered there for years. The place was so dirty and the slicers had old cold cuts stuck to them were not even cleaned. Will no longer be a customer got sick on the sandwich also.
