The authenticity extends to every dish, from the savory seafood pancakes to the rich stews and bibimbap. The experience is enhanced by a hallmark of Korean dining: the complimentary banchan, or small side dishes, that are served to all guests. These are not just appetizers but an integral part of the meal, offering a variety of flavors and textures that prepare the palate for the main course. New Wonjo's ability to consistently deliver this high standard of food and service has earned it a loyal following and a reputation as one of the best Korean restaurants in Midtown Manhattan. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My family and I stopped by this place for lunch for the first time. We love Korean food and had tried many different restaurants, especially in our hometown Boston. However, we were impressed with the quality of food at this place. Their Galbi beef was soft and tastier than other places. Similarly, their seafood scallion pancake is yummy in comparing to other places. As far as their services go, I would give them a 6-star rating. They are fast and friendly. Their restaurant and bathroom are clean as well. Lastly, their prices (we ordered from their lunch special menu) are very reasonable given their location.Overall, our family is pleased with this place and will definitely check it out again in the future.
April 22 · Tuan LeThis is one of my favorite restaurants in Midtown Manhattan, right in the heart of Koreatown. I’ve been there over the years, and the quality and service have remained consistently excellent. The Korean barbecue is delicious, as well as dishes like Bibimbap. I love that they bring you several complimentary small plates (banchan) as an appetizer while you wait for your main dish. It has a great atmosphere—clean, tidy, and with excellent customer service.
August 04 · Analia CrociNew Wonjo Restaurant has that warm, cozy charm that feels like stepping into a Korean home. While they're known for Korean BBQ, we opted for their entrees and were pleasantly surprised by how comforting and satisfying the whole meal was.We started with the sweet and spicy fried chicken as an appetizer. While it was crispy and flavorful, it reminded us more of a spicy sesame chicken than the classic Korean-style bone- in fried chicken we were expecting. That said, the variety of banchan (side dishes) more than made up for it--potato salad, kimchi, cucumber salad, and more--each one fresh, tasty, and true to what I love about Korean cuisine. For our mains, we ordered the Bulgogi Bibimbap and the Octopus Bibimbap. Both came out sizzling hot and packed with flavor. The balance of textures and seasonings made each bite so satisfying--we were completely stuffed by the end!Just when we thought we couldn't eat another bite, our server surprised us with a traditional cinnamon dessert tea. It was such a lovely touch and something I haven't experienced at most Korean restaurants. That detail alone told me how authentic and thoughtful this place really is.Service was great throughout--our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcome.Overall, New Wonjo offers a comforting Korean dining experience with authentic touches that make it memorable. Would definitely return!
June 21 · Fiona LWe have eaten at this restaurant several times but this time we were guests in a party of 10 people. We had a nice big table in the back on the first floor. Very busy restaurant with people in line to get in.The host ordered lots of delicious dishes and they just kept coming out. Plenty of drinks as well.Service was very attentive and we all had a great time.

Try the Jap chae perfectly seasoned and delicious. Bulgogi seasoned well and delicious. And mostly the ban chan has variety daily, it's different daily, fresh ingredients and delicious. You won't be disappointed. Give Wonjo a try your palette won't be disappointed. Thankyou for late hours Wonjo.
