Revelie Introduce
In a city that loves its classic diners, Revelie stands out by offering a fresh, refined take on the quintessential New York experience. Located in the bustling heart of SoHo on Prince Street, this isn't your average greasy spoon. Instead, it's a small, intimate, and decidedly upscale diner that seamlessly blends traditional American comfort food with French culinary techniques. The establishment, from the same team behind the legendary Raoul's, brings a sense of effortless chic and a "well-kept secret" vibe to the neighborhood. Revelie is a place where locals are greeted like visiting friends, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels both exclusive and incredibly welcoming.
The interior is a masterful blend of retro charm and modern elegance. Imagine a classic diner with a sleek, refined twist: plush, comfortable booth seating, a classic bar, and an intimate setting that feels perfect for a cozy date or a solo escape. While the space is small, it's designed to be a sanctuary from the city's frantic pace. The menu follows this same philosophy, offering a curated selection of dishes that are simple in concept but executed with precision and flair. Whether you're in the mood for a classic burger, a French-inspired omelette, or a refreshing salad, every item is prepared to a high standard. Revelie is a destination for those who appreciate quality and a dining experience that feels both familiar and special.

What makes Revelie a standout spot in a city full of dining options are the specific features and the overall atmosphere it cultivates. These elements have earned it a loyal following and positive reviews from locals:
Refined and Cozy Interior: The "small refined diner" interior is a significant highlight. With its plush, comfortable booth seating and intimate size, it provides a cozy and romantic atmosphere that is perfect for dates. The decor is noted for its beautiful aesthetic, and the space feels warm and inviting, truly a "sanctuary" in the heart of SoHo.
Phenomenal Atmosphere and Service: The staff's interaction with customers is consistently praised. The crew is described as greeting locals "like a visiting friend," which contributes to the "really nice atmosphere." The service is attentive and fast, even when the restaurant gets busy. While food preparation might take time, a customer noted that they were seated and waited on quickly, which is a big plus in a fast-paced city.
Elevated Comfort Food: Revelie's menu is its true star. The dishes are "tasty," "well plated," and "well seasoned," with the Hanger Steak receiving specific praise for being "tender and well seasoned" and the Iceberg Wedge for being "cheesy and well seasoned." This commitment to quality and thoughtful preparation elevates classic diner food to something truly special.
Popular Local Spot: The diner's appeal to a local crowd is a strong indicator of its quality and consistency. The fact that customers are "locals and returning customers" suggests that Revelie has successfully built a community around its brand, making it a reliable and beloved neighborhood institution.
With a menu as extensive and varied as Revelie's, deciding on a single dish can be a delightful challenge. However, a few items stand out based on popular opinion and the overall concept of the diner. The Hanger Steak is a highly recommended choice for a main course, praised for its tenderness and seasoning. It’s an example of how the restaurant takes a classic steakhouse item and makes it its own.
For something on the lighter side, the Iceberg Wedge and French Onion Soup are great appetizers, with the latter being a standout and a must-try for any diner. For those who want a classic sandwich, the Revelie Reuben is a signature item that combines great flavor and a sense of tradition. And for a unique start to your meal, the Local Clams In 'Nduja or Escargot are excellent choices that highlight the French influence on the menu. The overall experience, from the cozy atmosphere to the phenomenal service, is what makes a meal at Revelie truly worth choosing.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Had dinner here and it was very tasty. The establishment interior is a small refined diner. Four booth seats bar top and two stand alone tables. The booth seating was plush and comfortable to fit up to four diners. One waitress and bartender on duty, with a small kitchen. We were sat and waited on fast, but food took sometime as the place filled up fast after. We ordered the steak and the wedge salad and fries. Took roughly 25-30 minutes for the food to come out. The Steak portion was tiny, not diner sized but to be expected for the area. The meat was tender and well seasoned the potatoes were soft and complemented the dish. The wedge salad was cheesy and well seasoned.
September 14 · BritniBeautiful beautiful interiors, you can tell from the customers coming in during your dining that theyre locals and returning customers because the staff always greets them like a visiting friend- really nice atmosphere. The food was really good, minimal options but the food served was nice, and well plated. We were told that the booth was for larger groups (we were 2 persons) so we were seated at the bar, but then they let these other couple sit at the booths… hmm, interesting
September 05 · Pop Joslaine ManosThis small inviting diner has great classic dishes, deserts and service with a price that makes it the best value in the area. It has an eclectic feel with both a bar and table service area. A single outdoor table for two is great for “people watching” if thats your thing. Alcohol is available.
