★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a fantastic experience at Shahi Darbar in Jackson Heights. Their menu boasts genuine Mughal‑inspired classics, and their goat curry was rich without being greasy—just what you want in a hearty curry. Also, the Kathi roll was satisfyingly fresh and well-seasoned. The restaurant’s warm, welcoming vibe made it feel everything but pedestrian. A must-try for anyone craving authentic Halal cuisine.
August 26 · Dr. Rajan ThapaliyaShahi Darbar has great low cost snack dishes and their dishes are usually full of flavor. They make a great chicken samosa, mughlai paratha, kathi roll, and the beef shawarma are all great value and delicious. The marinated chicken and the lamb chops are also very very well flavored and well cooked, but a little expensive. Also the beans are tasty and they make a mean specialty burger. All around worth checking out their food. We usually get takeout.
April 17 · Elaine BI don’t have any complaints about the food. Additionally, I have had no problems with other employees, who have always been friendly with me. However, the short girl with black spots on her face doesn’t know how to behave with customers. She was totally rude and didn’t know what to say and what not to say. She behaves like she is the boss, but I don’t think so.I wanted a samosa, but she didn’t listen to me properly as she was talking with someone else on the phone. I told her 3-4 times, but there was no response, so I didn’t bother to tell her again. After I finished my food, I told her that I had asked for a samosa, and she was like, "No, you haven’t told me."I also told her that she was on the phone, so how could she have listened to me? She denied being on the phone and said I should have called her, but I pointed out that she was screaming and talking on her phone. If there is a customer, how could she not listen and prioritize her phone conversation? I couldn't even understand what she was speaking as the language was different. This is so disappointing. With this type of employee, the business will go down. I will never come to this shop again where customers are not valued.I hope the management addresses this issue to improve the customer service experience. Thank you.
June 25 · Alice Leohello everyone so I just visited Shahid Darbar two days ago I bought a Samosa from there and it was too good but the amount of dishes were too low and it’s not exact Pakistani restaurant. It’s kind of Indian or Bengali atmosphere was not clean and there is no such a sitting space barely 2 or three table for two person only so if you go, if you want to go with your family, I will not recommend it the opposite days a restaurant called Dera that will be good though.
July 11 · MaryamWe had a wonderful dining experience at Shahi Darbar! Our waiter, Harpreet, gave us excellent customer service—attentive, friendly, and always with a smile. We ordered Chole Bhature, Amritsari Kulcha, and Veg Raita, and the flavors were truly authentic—just like in Punjab. Every bite brought back memories of home. My husband also tried the Aam Panna, and he said it tasted exactly like the ones back home.Highly recommend this place for anyone craving genuine Punjabi flavors and warm hospitality. We will definitely be coming back!
