★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I've had both the dry chicken and the chicken gravy thali here. The thali is always top-notch, best i've had in New York. Reminds me so much of back home, they provide that authentic thakali taste. Couldn't recommend this spot more!🩷
September 11 · Big Marvel and ChickenThis is a below average joint in Jackson Heights. I was flabbergasted by the customer service at this restaurant.I was in transit at LGA for few hours so went to get some food nearby, I went in waitress showed me a table & I was waiting for more than 25 minutes for her to bring the menu to me.I gave her benefit of the doubt thought maybe she is busy but after 25 minutes my patience ran out and I had to remind her to bring the menu. After she brought the menu she comes back after 1 min and asked me rudely what you want to order? OMG I havent even had time to flip one page. I felt like I should just leave the facility at that point but i was tight on time as I had to catch my flight and wouldn’t have enough time to eat somewhere else, I ordered and ate here. The food is ok nothing extra. Even though service was below par I left 25% tips but promising to never return or recommend to any of my friends. If You run a eatery get decent waiters and behave well with everyone. I have travelled all over the world and been to many restaurants but this place sticks out for its rude service. There are lots of other better alternatives in and around jackson heights if you want to try Nepalese or Tibetan food.
April 02 · Prakash BudhaCame here on a friend’s recommendation and was honestly amazed. I’ve only tried the thali so far, but wow the flavors, the freshness, the portions easily the best thali I’ve had at a Nepali restaurant in New York. The ambience is really nice too, simple yet welcoming, which made the experience even better. If I had one tiny suggestion, it would be to add some background music. It can get super quiet at times, and if you’re naturally loud like me, it feels a little intimidating. Other than that, it’s a total gem and absolutely worth checking out. Definitely recommending this spot! Love love love it. Get the fried fish thali. You’ll thank me.
September 16 · Monika BohoraBest food in NY. Come for authentic Nepali Thakali set, you will never regret but a smile on your face and satisfied tummy when you leave.
May 18 · Rabin GanduI recently visited Aama’s Kitchen, and it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a meal. While the servers seemed to be relatively new, they maintained a commendable level of service, which was much appreciated. We ordered the Nepali Pork Thali and Chicken Thali, and both dishes were absolutely top-notch, showcasing authentic flavors and excellent presentation.I highly recommend visiting this new spot in town – the vibe and quality won’t disappoint! A must-try for anyone looking to explore Nepali cuisine.
