Location and Accessibility
Shukette is conveniently situated at 230 9th Ave, New York, NY 10001, USA. Its location in the Chelsea neighborhood makes it easily accessible for locals and tourists alike. The area is well-served by public transportation, and for those driving, paid street parking is available nearby, though it can be competitive. The restaurant takes accessibility seriously, offering a wheelchair-accessible entrance, restroom, and seating, ensuring that all guests can dine comfortably. The neighborhood is known for its art galleries, shops, and lively atmosphere, making Shukette an ideal stop during a day or evening out in the city.
The restaurant’s layout includes both indoor and outdoor seating options. While the indoor space is known for its vibrant and sometimes loud atmosphere—which can be a part of its charm—the outdoor seating provides a more tranquil dining experience. However, as noted in a review, the outdoor area can be exposed to a “wind tunnel,” so planning for the weather might be a good idea. Regardless of where you sit, the attentive staff and the buzzing energy of the kitchen contribute to a dynamic and enjoyable meal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Went with a large group of people to Shukette. Definitely make a reservation for weeks in advance, because this place is always booked! The bread is so fresh, hot, tasty and I’m not a bread fan but I’m a fan of this bread. The lamb was a very small portion, most portions are small here, but the lamb tender perfect seasoning. The shrimp was tasty, not a big enough potion for me. There was also a beautiful kale dish that came with pistachios and a nice sauce. The rice was very good. Again small portion. Everything here is a la carte. The ice cream wasn’t doing anything for me and I doubt if it would do anything for you. There was a mix of tahini gelato with caramel nuts and some raspberry something that was so off. It’s a no for me on that. The price is pricey and you’re going to need to order a lot of stuff to feel “full” or satiated due to portion size. Great for large groups, date night. Ambiance is nice but a bit loud. And the spaces are tight.
August 07 · R MWe certainly feasted! Excellent dinner at Shukette. We sat at the counter overlooking the kitchen which was very entertaining. We had a lot of different dishes. Very flavorful and very entertaining on the tongue. I don't think any of the dishes disappointed. Wait the bread will make you cry it's so delicious. We probably made a mistake by ordering two because we had a lot of food and I had to finish that bread at home which was not the worst thing. We had the corn dip which was delightful and a nice change from the hummus and other dishes that are more common. Love the grilled shrimp! Great vegetable dishes like the zucchini and the Roman beans, smash cucumber salad. Loved the corn and tomato salad with their excellent toum. The fairy tale eggplant🔥🔥🔥!For the main, we had the fish in a cage which was great too.The blueberry sorbet was probably the best one I've ever had.Atmosphere wise, it is very busy and really loud. It's probably more chill to eat outside but we liked the theater of watching the dishes being prepared.Unfortunately, we are also in a wind tunnel so my napkin kept blowing away.
August 10 · Jackie Gordon Singing ChefIt was honestly amazing! Every single dish was so good and all the staffs were so friendly and super nice. I was especially surprised by the broccoli appetizer; hands down the best broccoli I’ve ever had. All their bread was delicious too, and I highly recommend the dessert ice cream. The vibe was great! We went on a Sunday at 10pm and it was still packed
July 15 · Doah KwonDefinitely one of the most delicious and memorable middle eastern food I’ve had in New York so far. The place was super popular so I grabbed a reservation way ahead of time. The bartender was really patient with our orders and so nice throughout the meal despite the crowd and chaos.Had an amazing time and their menu changes throughout the seasons so I look forward to visiting again!
June 13 · VickiFirst time eating here and was impressed. We were on a waitlist for days and got an opening. Food and drinks were great. We had a wide variety of items and it was all fresh and tasty. We got a lot of small dishes and a kebab. The green salad and pita were highlights. Asparagus was awesome, had 2 kids with me and they ate it all. I would get a reservation in advance if you desire to eat here. We ate outside and it was a cozy atmosphere. Not inexpensive but it was really good.
