With so many tempting options at Sullivan Street Bakery and Pizza, it can be hard to know where to start. For first-time visitors, the consensus is to try a little bit of everything. Start with the bread, which is the heart of the operation. The Strecci Pomodoro (tomato bread) is a fan favorite, praised for its perfect seasoning and sweet, roasted tomatoes. The whole loaves, such as the Sourdough and Pugliese, are excellent choices, known for their robust crust and soft interior. The staff’s helpful recommendation to slice the warm sourdough in one-inch slices shows their commitment to the customer's experience.
Next, you must try the pizza. The square Roman-style slices are what truly sets this bakery apart. The Pecorino Slice and Patate Slice are highly recommended for their unique and delicious toppings. Another must-try is a pastry or sweet treat. The Olive Oil Cake is a standout, noted for its light texture and distinct citrus flavor. The Chocolate Chip Cookie is also a crowd-pleaser, balancing a crispy edge with a soft center and a hint of salt. Finally, for a real surprise, some regulars claim the glazed donut is one of the best in the city—a "must-try" that should be more famous. Pair any of these delicious choices with a classic coffee like a Cappuccino or a Cold Brew for a complete and satisfying meal.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1There's so many bread options and we were super excited. We got the whole loaf sourdough, tomato bread, mushroom bread, olive oil cake, and chocolate chip cookie. The sourdough has a nice crust and is soft in the middle. It was warm when we got it and our server told us that they can only slice it in 1inch slices because the bread is still warm otherwise it'll crumble apart while being sliced. It was nice of them to recommend that! The tomato bread with the roasted tomatoes was delicious! It's perfectly seasoned and the roasted tomatoes were so sweet. The mushroom bread was alright but definitely tasted better once we warmed it up at home. The olive oil cake was light with a strong orangey citrus flavor and wasn't too sweet. The chocolate chip cookie is great! It's big and crispy on the edges but soft in the middle. It does have salt on the top and can get a bit salty. I'm not a fan of salt on my cookies but I still loved it. Highly recommend Sullivan street bakery and I'll definitely go back to try other items.
March 24 · Seelia YangReally one of the best bakeries in town. ALLLLL the flat square pizza are excellent, the glazed donut is beyond (best donut! This should be better known), the chocolate chip cookie, mortadella sandwich, bombolone, the olive or tomato stick, the pecorino flatbread when it’s hot!!! Aargh amazing
June 08 · DLHad the mortadella sandwich, Ceasar salad and a drink. Was shocked by the price (over $40 for these three items). Sandwich was delicious. Ceasar salad not so much; it was too salty; too fishy; and worse of all, the romaine was not fresh. Very disappointed. 😔
September 15 · Giovanna FralonardoBomboloni never disappoints at Sullivan. Soft and tender doughnut with delicious filling. Personal favorite is chocolate custard filling. The pastry selection is also great, and plenty of sandwich choices.
September 01 · Joshua YoungNot my favorite place :/ everything looked great and we were very excited to try it. I ordered an avocado toast with a poached egg and unfortunately it was completely dry and well done, not poached/creamy at all. My dad ordered the breakfast sandwich which comes with an over easy egg, also came super well done, cold and dry, didn’t even looked like they were cooked at the moment. Food was not good at all. Good point for them is their Coffee was amazing👍🏻
