Apart from usually forgetting to include spoons when I order soup with my takeout, I haven't had any complaints. The food has always been delicious and I look forward to further exploring the menu!

I have a soy allergy and it is extremely hard for me to find amazing Japanese food that can accommodate my allergy. They went out of their way to make me a special soup without soy, the service was impeccable! We also had the sashimi special which was amazing! My mom came to the restaurant a bit later and we ordered her a soup and as soon as she got here they made her a whole new soup so it could be completely fresh! I could not say better things about this restaurant! AMAZING SERVICE, FOOD, & ATMOSPHERE!!! 😁🙏 Leo is the absolute best!!

There is no shortage of Sushi lunch spots on the East Side. What there is a shortage of is warm; friendly, welcoming Shushi spots for a guy in work jeans and steel tipped boots looking to take something back, to the shop. At most other places I get furrowed brows and ushered out the door as I'm handed my order. At Tenzan 52, I get, "Hello, Have a seat, Thank you", and, "See you tomorrow." I make sure they do see me, many tomorrows. Cheers to Tenzan 52. The food is also great by the way. And to the posh, East Side crowd, have no fear. I only do take out. You won't have to sit next to me. One day, when I'm in leisure clothes, I'll grab a table to enjoy the lovely atmosphere.

Tenzan 52 is a cozy, family-run Japanese restaurant that feels like a neighborhood staple—warm, welcoming, and consistently satisfying. I stopped in after a long day exploring the East Side, and the moment I sat down, I felt at ease. The staff greeted me like a regular, and the menu was full of comforting classics and creative rolls. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and a bowl of miso soup, and both were fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. It’s not flashy or trendy, but that’s exactly what I loved about it. Tenzan feels like the kind of place you return to again and again, not just for the food, but for the feeling of being taken care of.
