More than just a local spot, The Millennium is a culinary destination in Cambria Heights, bringing the rich, comforting flavors of the Caribbean straight to your table. While officially classified as a seafood restaurant, its menu expertly showcases the full breadth of traditional Haitian cooking, from perfectly prepared meats and vegetarian options to its signature fish dishes.
This establishment has built a loyal following among New Yorkers who appreciate generous portions, reasonable prices, and high-quality, authentic preparation. But the experience extends far beyond the ocean's bounty, ensuring there’s something delicious for every palate. What Is Worth Choosing
Choosing The Millennium is choosing authenticity, flavor, and value, three qualities highly prized by New York food enthusiasts. The main draw is the depth of flavor in their classic Haitian preparations. New customers should absolutely prioritize the signature dishes that highlight the restaurant's reputation.
For seafood aficionados, the Poisson Gro Sel is a must-try. This Creole-style poached or stewed fish is a lighter but intensely flavored alternative to fried fish, often made with whole red snapper cooked in an aromatic, citrus-infused broth featuring local seasonings like epis. This dish is the very definition of quality Caribbean seafood preparation.
If you are looking for the absolute best representation of Haitian cuisine, you should explore the Fritaille Menu. The Fried Pork Fritaille (Griot), which is marinated, slow-cooked, and then fried until perfectly crispy on the outside and tender within, is a popular choice and a staple of Haitian cooking. Pair it with a side of Akra or the traditional Fried Plaintains for a complete, satisfying meal.
Beyond the excellent meats and fish, the side choices are equally important to the experience. The Black Rice (Diri Jonjon) is a flavorful Haitian specialty that complements any main course. The restaurant is also praised for its Legume, a stew of mashed vegetables like eggplant, spinach, or chayote, combined with stewed beef or another protein, offering a hearty and flavorful vegetable option.
In summary, The Millennium in Cambria Heights offers a true taste of Haiti, delivering memorable meals with a casual and community-focused approach. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick, delicious lunch or picking up a catering order for a group, this Queens establishment promises a genuine and generous serving of Caribbean culinary excellence. It's a highly recommended spot for anyone in the New York area seeking authentic, high-quality Haitian and Caribbean comfort food.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place makes the best Haitian food I've had in years! I used to go to Good Taste but they've gotten rather expensive and super stingy with their portions. This place, on the other hand, offers better food at cheaper prices and MUCH larger portions. Their Griot is sheer perfection, the joumou is great, and their chicken and legume is on another level. They are also very friendly and remember your name. You MUST stop here and grab a bite!
December 30 · Chris (Scipio Africanus)Went in to order goat meat, lady told me it would be 5mins so I sat and waited thinking she went in the back to prepare my order. 12mins later another customer came in, ordered his food then left within 3mins. I then went to the counter to ask why it was taking so long since they told me “5mins”. After that it’s like a switch went off in their head like they completely forgot about my order and started packing my plate while what I requested was right there all along so why they made me wait I have no idea. Never again.
