★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I come in here quite often and felt compelled to finally leave a well deserved review. There has been quite a turnover in staff over year but these past few months, the service feels so better than before. The staff in the morning is incredibly amazing. They are totally in sync and keep that line moving in midst of a rush. Half the time my latte is done being made before I even step to the register to pay. Everyone here is so kind and lovely. The music is always a vibe and the pastries are a hit. They did raise prices recently I noticed but I still enjoy the pastries and the staff. Always a stop on my way to where I need to be.
July 19 · C CabreraI regret never writing a review before…. This place was my favorite hidden gem in Grand Central. The iced coffee was high quality and had amazing flavor. The pastries were a dream. I loved the quiche and the egg baked in a pastry puff.BUT NOW…. The prices are nearly double for the pastries (I get it..) and they discontinued all of my favorite. The place is full of classic pastries that are all sweet which is a huge loss in my opinion. The coffee tasted watered down. AND the prices are not supported by the quality making the place feel under whelming. This place was great before, now that it’s mediocre, it feels like a huge loss.
June 21 · Chelsea FridThis place deteriorated drastically over the past months - they no longer have the delicious savory quiche dishes we always came for and instead only offer a small selection of sweet croissants. Additionally, prices are quite outrageous - $6 for a simple croissant. It used to be our favorite place where we stopped by every time before taking the train. Today was the last time.
June 21 · UlrichS93Before I even walked in this morning, customers were standing on the opposite side of where the line usually forms, but the staff was taking their orders any way. The man began taking the order of the patron who was in front of me, but when he got to me, he decided to ask the man standing on the opposite if he had ordered yet. I would have taken it as an honest mistake had he NOT just taken the order of the patron standing directly in front of me, so it was definitely a choice. Not to mention the patron whose order he was about to take had walked in as I was already online. If you're curious -- Yes, I'm Black, and yes the other patron was White.
August 08 · D GOrdered their cacio pepe pastry which was flavorful and good. The ricotta blueberry muffin was very soft and there were a lot of blueberries. Their other pastries looked appetizing. The shakshuka pastry was flavorful and good. The couscous salad was decent too.
