★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1A chef friend of mine recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend the sweet corn agnolotti and the lamb ribs as well as the mortadella appetizer. Simply amazing. The service was top-notch. Kim was our server and was wonderful.
July 27 · Marin RowlandLoved the ambience of the restaurant—beautiful space and stunning plating, but unfortunately the food didn’t quite live up to the aesthetics. We started with the house-made focaccia with olives, which was a solid start. The crispy potatoes and meatballs were tasty, but nothing that had me craving more. The mushroom risotto was a bit underdone, with some grains noticeably firmer than others. The highlight was definitely the ragu—rich, flavorful, and comforting. While I enjoyed that dish, the overall experience felt hit or miss. Not sure I’d come back to explore more of the menu, but glad I gave it a try.
April 07 · Hay DenseoUnbelievable. Service, ambiance, food more and more incredible. Every dish we were adding a “omg” after each bite.We sat at the bar with Sol and Zahira, and they are the perfect guides through the menu, cocktails to match and the best dessert option to really put a bow on it. They turned dinner into an experience and were warm, witty, and very knowledgeable. We LOVED the sweet corn pasta (should’ve also ordered one to-go), the panzanella was SO refreshing with super crisp tomatoes and pickled watermelon, the lasagna was a plus, and if I could drink the olive oil that came with the focaccia I’d die happy, obsessed with the zucchini fritters to satisfy a little need for crunchy/lightly fried, and seriously, ONE time for the gelato in the affogato…what ice cream dreams are made of.Can’t wait to find reasons to bring friends here!!
July 31 · Ann KCarlotto is one of the best restaurants in NYC. Try to sit at the Chef’s Table and watch the chefs in action. Must order the crispy baby artichokes, the flatbread (so tasty), the cappellacci al formaggio (will melt in your mouth) and the risotto ai fungi porcini (full of flavor). Service is excellent and whole restaurant has great energy. Our waiter Howard was very attentive and Steph, the General Manager, even helped us select our wine. She was informed, professional and a total delight. We will be back!
July 21 · Alisa SavitzI have friends that really like this restaurant so we checked it out.Overall the food was just okay especially for the price. It seemed formulaic without a lot of delight The best dishes were the crudo and the tiramisu.. Crudo was beautifully presented with nice bright, contrasting flavors! The tiramisu was perfect. Not too sweet, very well done. The carrot salad looked great but did not come together well. The raw carrots were pretty but not nice to chew. The ostensibly cooked carrots were also pretty undercooked so the whole thing just didn't work for me.The lasagna looked fantastic but it seem to be lacking in cheese on the inside and not a lot of sauce so it was kind of dry. There was plenty of cheese on top but it didn't carry the dish .The cauliflower dish was fine but nothing interesting about it.The fried artichokes were also just fine. It's not that it's a bad restaurant at all. Service was great. There was a Latina waitress who lit up the room! It's just that there is a bunch of other Italian restaurants in New York City that are the same price point that just nail every dish.
