The wagyu beef dish as the star of the show. Sadly they were out of chocolate cake. Nice spot, friendly service, great menu!

I have often found that Japanese places in nyc can be overhyped and overpriced for the quality of food, but dining at Cotra was the perfect blend of exquisite dining at what I thought to be a reasonable price.The interior was very mysterious and moody on a Tuesday night. Good for a date night! We were a bit late to our reservation, but they still sat us right away.I didn’t take pictures of most of what we ordered because we were so eager to dig in, but everything was amazing- from the drinks to the appetizers to the rolls.

The branzino oven fired whole and deboned, was the star. The drinks are executed with perfection. Finally something unique and original. I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed our sushi and the cocktails were made perfectly. Can’t really say anything negative and I’m looking forward to coming back at another point in time.
