DelCaribeDeli Introduce
For residents and visitors in the Nassau County section of New York, DelCaribeDeli at 53 Meacham Ave in Elmont stands out as more than a standard neighborhood corner store. This establishment operates as a full-service Deli, providing a unique and appealing fusion of the quintessential New York-style sandwich counter with a vibrant, authentic Latin American kitchen. This combination means that patrons can satisfy cravings for both a classic "hero" sandwich and specialty Latin fare in a single, convenient location.
DelCaribeDeli excels at being a quick-stop destination, perfectly suited for a Quick visit to grab a meal on the go. Its menu is remarkably diverse, allowing for a deep dive into Central American cuisine—a feature that distinguishes it within the local deli landscape. Customers can find regional staples such as Pupusas (both corn and rice flour varieties) and Baleadas, alongside American deli favorites. The deli is designed for speed and convenience, offering essential services like Delivery and Takeout, which are crucial for the busy lifestyle in the New York metropolitan area.
While the focus is clearly on delivering high-quality, freshly prepared food, the business has acknowledged, through public feedback, the importance of the overall customer experience, which extends beyond the food itself. This dedication to serving the community’s culinary needs, while maintaining efficiency for a fast-paced clientele, makes DelCaribeDeli an important fixture for diverse and flavorful options in Elmont.

DelCaribeDeli is conveniently located at 53 Meacham Ave, Elmont, NY 11003, USA. Meacham Avenue provides easy access within the local community, making it a reliable spot for neighborhood regulars and those driving through the area.
As a classic neighborhood deli, it is structured primarily for quick, transactional visits, catering largely to a clientele seeking Takeout or utilizing the Delivery service. The environment is described as being focused on a Quick visit, which implies a counter-service model where speed is prioritized. The accessibility hinges on local foot traffic and short-term parking availability typical of a dense commercial area in Nassau County.
A note of public feedback has been directed toward the atmosphere immediately outside the premises. While the internal service and food preparation are the main functions of the business, potential patrons should be aware of the surroundings, as some local users have expressed discomfort due to loitering and the actions of a group of men congregating near the entrance. The business's ability to create a welcoming storefront atmosphere is an ongoing concern for local users, and prospective customers who are sensitive to such matters may wish to opt for the secure and convenient Delivery service provided by the deli.

For New York locals in the Elmont area, DelCaribeDeli presents an exceptional choice for a few compelling reasons that distinguish it from standard delis and quick-serve restaurants. What is most worth choosing here is the unique culinary dualism and the access to authentic, specialized foods.
Firstly, the ability to order truly authentic Latin American cuisine—specifically the Pupusas and Baleadas—is a significant draw. While many local delis serve generic breakfast and lunch staples, DelCaribeDeli provides a gateway to delicious, traditional meals that are difficult to find readily elsewhere in the immediate vicinity. This makes it the go-to destination for a taste of the Caribbean and Central America.
Secondly, the comprehensive menu means no one in a family or group has to compromise. One person can enjoy a highly-rated Tacos De Carne Asada or a bowl of rich Sopa De Res, while another can indulge in the classic, custom-made Italian Combo or the popular Chop Cheese Hero. This versatility is perfect for catering to diverse palates in a single order.
Finally, given the public feedback regarding the environment outside the location, DelCaribeDeli's strong emphasis on Delivery and Takeout becomes its greatest strength. For customers who prioritize convenience and comfort, the option to easily pay with modern methods (NFC, Credit Cards) and have delicious, freshly prepared food—especially specialties like the Pupusas—delivered directly to their home ensures the best possible experience without compromising on the quality or authenticity of the meal.

DelCaribeDeli Reviews
I’ve personally never had ate at this location so I have nothing to say in regards to the actual deli itself. However, for some reason right directly in front of their location there is ALWAYS a bunch of men hanging around and if i’m not mistaken some appear to be drinking alcoholic beverages. Thats totally fine and not my issue but what does become an issue is that these 50-60 yr old men also feel like its okay to harass women who walk by, me being one of them. I tend to avoid going near this location just because I have felt uncomfortable walking by a bunch of men (if you’re a woman you understand) but the other day I decided to walk by and not avoid this route just because men were there but ofc i was indeed VERY uncomfortable after doing so. These men all stopped talking the moment they saw me and i felt each one just stare at me one said “Holaaa” (catcalling) and they were all just laughing and whispering and some started making loud sounds as i was walking by to grab my attention. These men could be my fathers age they probably could actually have kids of their own and the fact that they think this behavior is okay is truly unacceptable. I dont want to reveal too much since I do live near by but as a business how can you support this ?? You want people to feel comfortable and welcomed to your location and attract new clientele but with that typa atmosphere literally right outside your front door is actually insane. I hope someone from this location actually reads this and implements change because it truly is disgraceful to have to avoid going on this block due to this immaturity and lack of human decency and I hope nobody takes this the wrong way either because it wasn’t the purpose of writing this review just want to share and bring light to this situation that has repeatedly happened before.
May 29 · MarieOn 10/01/2024 I order pupusas and found hairs on the food, hairs that can potencially be a fungus biohazard, No one in the kitchen wear hairnet and I think is a good idea for the ladies and everyone in the kitchen to wear hairnets plus I will never buy food from ever
