★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Earlier today I had a craving for hispanic food so I wished to try this particular spot, which reminded me of another spot that used to be in the area years ago. What I received was not only disappointing, it made me feel completely disgusted. The gentleman at the counter was very dismissive, given a very street-style demeanor. He did not seem to speak Spanish, and when I ordered in Spanish, he reiterated the dishes in English. Aside from not having half of the menu when I had ordered, the rice was clumpy and the chicken was very undercooked. Avoid this place at all costs! They are not even graded so beware!
June 30 · Euphemia StonesAbsolutely phenomenal! This hidden gem is a shining example of a warm, family-run operation serving up incredibly delicious Latin cuisine. I was lucky enough to snag the very last serving of the goat stew, and wow, it was out of this world. Rich, tender, perfectly seasoned!.Brian, working the counter, was welcoming, professional, and effortlessly bilingual. But the real heart of the place? His wonderful mother behind the stove, masterfully preparing and plating up soulful, authentic dishes for a diverse crowd of office workers, garment district locals, and curious tourists. This spot is more than just a great lunch—it’s a love letter to the vibrant, multicultural New York that I cherish. A must-visit!
June 19 · Nisha YadavFood was delicious and authentic. Unfortunately half of the menu was unavailable, which was disappointing. This is mainly a "to-go" place as there are only 2 tables. It's a literal hole- in- the- wall- place like a loading dock or something. Still enjoyed the food, but the place itself, and the loss of menu items could be overlooked if it weren't for their prices. It was almost $40.00 for two of us for just one portion of beef stew with lentils and white rice each.
August 29 · A. KasperWhile searching for Aquario, a Dominican restaurant I hadn’t visited in years, I accidentally came across another spot. Curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the beef stew served with white rice and a chicken stew with the same base.Unfortunately, the rice was a big disappointment—completely devoid of flavor, lacking any hint of salt, and resembling clumpy, wet Chinese rice rather than the fluffy texture I expected. The beef stew was passable, but the portions were meager; I barely found any beef in it. As for the chicken stew, it was even worse. I was served just two drumsticks, and the chicken itself was bland and unappetizing.Overall, with the plates costing around $15 to $16 each, I ended up wasting $31 on a meal that fell flat. Regrettably, I don’t see myself returning to this place anytime soon.
