Probably the best Filipino bakery in NY/NJ area. The breads and pastries makes you miss home. Ube breads are the best!Location: It is located in Roosevelt along all the Filipino stores and restaurants. The taho are outside of the store.Service: she was nice. Filipino hospitality at its best!Food: The breads are delicious, fluffy and still good after few days. UBE PANDESAL: to me this was the best I had unlike online seller this has visible cheese and ube jam inside the bread. Heat it up in the microwave for 10 seconds and devour its goodness. TAHO: how i miss taho in the Philippines, this breakfast drink is all about my country. Those soft tofu top with boba and syrup is just what I want in my life. Lol.Price rating: 5/10, not that bad for Filipino food cravings.Definitely will eat more here and try more of their breads!! Definitely try ube pandesal and taho!! - Mark Nowell

Fritzie's Bake Shop Introduce

For many in New York's Filipino community and beyond, a trip to Woodside is incomplete without a stop at Fritzie's Bake Shop. Located on the bustling Roosevelt Avenue, often referred to as "Little Manila," this bakery is a cherished destination that brings the warmth and flavors of the Philippines to Queens. Fritzie's isn't just a place to buy bread; it's a culinary bridge that connects people to their heritage and introduces newcomers to the delicious world of Filipino baked goods. From the moment you step inside, the sweet aromas of freshly baked pastries and the sight of traditional delicacies evoke a sense of home and comfort.

Fritzie's Bake Shop has a reputation for being one of the best Filipino bakeries in the New York and New Jersey area, and for good reason. The quality of their breads and pastries is consistently praised, with customers noting that the items remain fluffy and delicious even after a few days. The most talked-about item is their ube pandesal, a must-try for any visitor. Unlike other versions, Fritzie's ube pandesal is known for having visible cheese and ube jam inside, creating a perfect balance of sweet and savory that is absolutely irresistible, especially when heated for just a few seconds.

Beyond the baked goods, Fritzie's offers other traditional Filipino treats that evoke a sense of nostalgia and delight. The taho, a classic Filipino breakfast of soft tofu topped with boba pearls and sweet syrup, is a popular choice and can often be found being sold just outside the store. Another standout is the "2-in-1" version of puto and kutsinta, a brilliant take on two classic steamed rice cakes that combines a light, spongy cake with a chewy, sticky base. This inventive approach, coupled with the authentic flavors, makes Fritzie's a truly special and memorable place to visit.
