Greenwich and Delancey Introduce
Greenwich and Delancey is a true culinary gem, bringing a new level of sophistication to kosher deli cuisine in the heart of New York City. Located at 50 West Street, we are a destination for anyone seeking classic comfort food with an artisanal twist. While the name pays homage to the rich history of New York's Lower East Side, where Delancey Street was a center for immigrant life and deli food, our approach is decidedly modern and elevated. We are not just a restaurant; we are a fusion of old-world tradition and new-school culinary excellence, creating a dining experience that is both nostalgic and innovative.
Our mission is to celebrate the best of kosher cuisine by focusing on high-quality ingredients and meticulous preparation. We are particularly famous for our pastrami, which has earned rave reviews for its melt-in-your-mouth tenderness and perfect balance of spices. Beyond our signature sandwiches, our menu offers a variety of comforting and delicious dishes, including our highly praised Matzo Ball soup, a perfect remedy for a chilly day. We also feature unique creations from our chefs, such as the G&D Immune Boost Soup and the G&D Post-Workout Sandwich, demonstrating our commitment to both classic flavors and modern health trends.
The atmosphere at Greenwich and Delancey is designed to be a welcoming and casual space where you can relax and enjoy your meal. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wow, what a beautiful pastrami sandwich (half) and matzo ball soup! Also had a hot tea and lovely dessert. What a nice and relaxing environment! Thanks! (Glad we got your hours updated on Google maps!)
May 28 · Kevin GantzWow, really great lunch! Pastrami sandwich is the star of the show with the Matzo Ball soup a close second. Only has about 5 tables but great service.
May 12 · Rich GleesonTried to find a decent pastrami sandwich so I looked up reviews and found this gem. The sandwiches were great but what really made it special were the soups. We had the split pea, the Matzo ball and the ginger soup and all were unbelievably delicious. The waitstaff was outstanding and kept the waters full after long walks through New York and the restaurant was well designed and super clean.
July 12 · Stephen DavisOur server was friendly, kind and helpful. The food was fabulous. Try the pastrami and schnitzel. My friends also raved about the BLT - "this is the best BLT I've ever had". Classic pickles were free. Pricey, but totally worth it. Oh, and it's kosher!
November 05 · Brendan McDermottI became kosher a couple years ago and didn’t realize I could get food just AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER than what I was used to. Katz’s, you have competition, kindelah!
