More than just a simple store, this location at 20 Times Square serves as a candy mecca and a fun tourist attraction all rolled into one. For New Yorkers and visitors looking to satisfy a sugar craving, find the perfect gift, or simply immerse themselves in a world of iconic candy, Hershey's Chocolate World offers a fun and memorable experience. This article will delve into what makes this spot a must-visit, from its unique offerings and sweet treats to its convenient location and accessibility.
The product offerings at Hershey's Chocolate World go far beyond what you would find in a typical grocery store aisle. The shop is a treasure trove of all things Hershey, featuring not only every classic candy you can imagine but also limited-edition and seasonal flavors that are hard to find elsewhere. A customer review mentioned discovering "pumpkin spice chocolate nuggets" and "Cinnamon Toast Crunch Hershey Kisses" during a seasonal visit, highlighting the store's dedication to keeping its offerings fresh and exciting. Beyond the standard bags of candy, the store also sells oversized Hershey favorites, which make for "fun gifts." But the experience is not just about the retail side. Hershey's Chocolate World is a dessert destination in its own right, offering freshly made treats that are a highlight for many visitors. You can find large, decadent cookies, including flavors like cookies & cream, double chocolate Hershey kiss, and Reese's pieces. For those who love a custom creation, the "custom made Reese's pieces" are a standout attraction. On warmer days, the store serves up indulgent ice cream sundaes, milkshakes, and s'mores, all made with Hershey's products. One customer particularly enjoyed a "Wicked" mint-flavored milkshake, recommending it to fellow mint lovers. The variety and quality of these desserts make it a fantastic place for a quick and satisfying sweet treat.
Beyond the delicious products, the store's setup is designed for a seamless and enjoyable visit, even during busy times. It is organized to make your journey through the different sections as easy as possible. The store is praised for having separate registers for different categories of products—from ice cream and cookies to custom-made treats and bagged candy—which helps to "mak the transactions easier." This thoughtful layout ensures that the experience feels efficient, even when it’s crowded. The atmosphere is consistently described as a "fun" and "great place to have fun" by visitors, making it a popular destination for families and anyone seeking a quick, joyful diversion. While one review mentioned that the store itself might be "very small" compared to the scale of "Hershey's World" theme parks, its location in the middle of Times Square makes it a convenient and easily accessible option for a “sweet escape” and a “quick visit.” Its appeal as a fun, quick attraction rather than a full-day commitment makes it a great stop for locals and tourists exploring the area.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I stop here from time to time to see what limited edition flavors they have for the season. Being how fall is approaching they had pumpkin spice chocolate nuggets. They were also gearing up for Halloween with select mix & match bags 4 for $20.including Cinnamon Toast Crunch Hershey Kisses. Oversized Hershey favorites are also available for fun gifts. If you want a snack they serve large cookies such cookies & cream, double chocolate Hershey kiss & recess pieces for those of you who like peanut butter. Warning if you’re allergic to nuts the others might be cross contaminated since they’re in the same display case. I also overheard another customer talking about having a custom made recesses pieces (peanut butter isn’t my thing so I didn’t check it out). If you happen to go on a warm day they also serve ice cream sundaes & milkshakes. I decided to try a limited time “Wicked” milkshake, if you like mint you should enjoy it. They also serve a variety of s’mores at the counter where you order the ice cream. The ice cream/cookies/ custom recesses pieces & bagged candy - gifts each have their own registers to order/pay making the transactions easier. A rather inexpensive treat for your sweet tooth.
September 14 · J B CHershey Park is a great place to have fun. Of course, you need to go with a lot of patience because it gets crowded and the lines can be super long. You definitely need more than one day to fully enjoy everything. The food is delicious, though a bit pricey in my opinion—but I’d still eat there again. I love the place, the experience, and everything about it! 🎢🍫
April 19 · Jaminette NazarioThis is nice store. It's pretty small which is unexpected considering there is a massive sign on a times square ad screens telling people to come in here. The candy itself is expensive compared to retail stores like Walmart or target. It's only worth it get merch or some of the exclusive flavors. You do get a free candy bar for going in which is nice.
August 04 · Erik ZI’m not sure that anyone is ready for this much chocolate, EVER! My kiddos went crazy trying to decide which item they wanted to purchase. The selection is vast, and the number of kids running around unattended is ludicrous. They hand out fee miniature Hersheys chocolate bars to everyone that enters the store.
July 14 · John Smith IIIYummy smores but very expensive. Definitely you pay for the location! All the chocolates can be found in any other local supermarket around. If you’re looking for experience, this one is fine.
