L’industrie Pizzeria West Village Introduce
In a city where a new pizzeria seems to pop up every week, L'industrie Pizzeria has managed to do the near-impossible: it has created a loyal following that is willing to wait in line for what many consider to be the best slice of pizza in New York. Originally a Brooklyn phenomenon, the West Village location has brought the same high-quality, perfectly executed pizza to Manhattan's vibrant Christopher Street. The hype surrounding L'industrie is real, and it’s a hype that is well-earned, built on a foundation of exceptional craftsmanship and an unwavering commitment to quality ingredients.
L'industrie's success is a testament to its singular focus on perfection. The pizza here is a masterful blend of Italian tradition and New York City flair. The crust is the star of the show—thin and sturdy, with a perfect crispness on the bottom and a satisfyingly chewy interior. This is a pie that holds up to its toppings without becoming soggy, a true mark of a skilled pizzaiolo. But it's not just the crust; the toppings are sourced with care and are of the highest quality. This dedication to excellence is evident in every bite, from the simple Margherita to the more complex and celebrated specialty slices.
The menu at L'industrie is designed to highlight the best of what they do. While every slice is worth trying, a few stand out as absolute must-haves. The Burrata slice is the most famous, and for good reason. It’s a simple yet decadent creation, topped with creamy burrata cheese, fresh basil, and a drizzle of olive oil. The Fig Jam & Bacon pizza offers a unique and delightful blend of sweet and savory flavors that has earned it a cult following. The classic Pepperoni and New Yorker slices are also phenomenal, providing a delicious and perfectly executed take on familiar favorites.
The atmosphere inside the pizzeria is casual, cozy, and trendy, mirroring the West Village neighborhood it calls home. Despite the often-long lines, the staff is known for their fast and efficient service. They keep the line moving and ensure that the slices are always fresh and hot. The restaurant is a popular spot for both locals and tourists, and the buzz of the crowd is a part of the experience. It's the kind of place where you can grab a quick bite on the go or find a spot to stand and savor your meal.
L'industrie is more than just a place to eat; it’s a pilgrimage for pizza lovers. The wait, while sometimes long, is a part of the journey and is a testament to the fact that you’re about to eat something truly special. As one satisfied customer put it, the pizza is "OUTSTANDING" and the crust is "perfect." ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Okay, I was doing a lot of research on best pizza places, and this place was on almost ALL the lists. So we went, and first we saw the line, OH MY GOSH. It was almost an hour wait in total. While in line, the worker there was telling everyone if they want to avoid the line in the future, then order a whole pie online. If I go back to NYC, that's exactly what I'm going to do!The pizza was OUTSTANDING, now I know why it's on so many top pizza lists. Perfect crust, and I do mean perfect. I only wish I could make pizza this good at home in my pizza oven. Toppings were also all high quality and perfectly executed. We got several different slices to sample, and all were perfect. So don't stress about which slice you're going to get because they're all worth it!! ALL OF THEM OH GOSH I MISS this pizza.
September 14 · Paul MFresh, flavorful pizza that lives up to the hype — and yes, the hype definitely draws a line. The slices are really good, and while you can find pizza elsewhere in the city, this spot is definitely worth trying at least once. I wouldn’t wait 60 minutes every time, but the line moves surprisingly fast and is managed efficiently. It’s just a super popular place, especially during peak hours — expect a crowd!
August 03 · Amit BhatiaTried New York Pizza for the first time and i was blown away! i got the TARTUFO PIE, it had truffle taste and mushroom! which i love. i also had the tiramisu for dessert, which the sweetness was perfect, my sister and i finished it. My mom and my other sister shared the pistacho tres leche, which they love aswell. There was a line, but it took about less than 10 mins to have all our food out. inside, there are no seats, only near the windows had a seat. Overall, would definitely recommend! 10/10.
July 24 · Zoe SalongaFinally got to try this joint.Long wait kinda crazy, but it was well worth it.Loved the fact every option we’ve tried was all very delicious. Our favorite was the fig & bacon slice. Their white slice was also exceptional and tasty. We didn’t appreciate our four slices of different pies were all stacked up together into a small box, but other than that pizza was very good.Pro tip: avoid Sundays !!!!Order a pie or two to share ahead of time.
August 04 · Danny H1000% worth the buzz and definitely worth the wait! We waited about 25 minutes on a Sunday morning. I don’t think I could explain how amazing and delicious this pizza was. Not the usual Napolitan style that I am used to as I come from a place surrounded by many Italian restaurants, but the flavours and the crunch of this dough was unreal! This might just be the best pizza I have ever had! We tried the New Yorker and the spicy salami. We also ordered their square slices, which had a pesto sauce on it, and it was completely different, more chewy and extremely satisfying. We also had a dessert because someone who makes dough as good as this is 100% going to make excellent pastries. I can’t wait to go back! Highly highly recommend a must try in New York!
