Pressers Kosher Bagels and Bakery Introduce
For New Yorkers who appreciate the craft of a truly authentic bagel, Pressers Kosher Bagels and Bakery stands as a time-honored destination in the heart of Brooklyn. Established as a family-owned business in 1980, this establishment has been faithfully serving the Midwood community for decades, initially as a dedicated bakery specializing in freshly baked pastries and breads. It expanded its appetizing department in 2006 to include the famous hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagels that New York City residents know and love, cementing its status as a dual threat: a top-tier bakery and a classic bagel shop.
The atmosphere of the shop is often described as clean and bright, flooded with sunlight, creating a welcoming environment for a quick morning visit. It has earned a reputation for providing a genuine New York bagel experience, featuring the classic boiled-then-baked method that yields that perfect chewy-on-the-inside, crispy-on-the-outside texture. Beyond the bagels, the bakery heritage is evident in the impressive selection of homemade bread, cookies, danishes, and other delicious pastries, ensuring a treat for every palate.
While the quality of the bagels and baked goods is generally highly praised, some long-time patrons have noted a recent shift towards "penny-pinching" policies, where basic items like cups or bags may incur a separate charge. Nevertheless, for many, the quality of the core products—such as the highly-rated Tuna Celery salad on a fresh bagel, or a toasted Cinnamon Raisin bagel—makes Pressers an essential stop for breakfast and lunch in the neighborhood. Its focus on certified Kosher products makes it a vital resource for the local community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The only good thing about this place is that it looks nice, I asked for well done and the hash-browns are barely even cooked. You have to pay extra for everything, cup EXTRA, cream cheese EXTRA, bag EXTRA.Can’t believe this place it used to be a staple in Brooklyn and now they are penny pinching on every little thing they can.And it was roughly $25 for what’s in my pictures.
September 08 · David shamoshBagels are pretty good. My favorite is Tuna Celery with jalapeños peppers. Very tasty and they have good selection of ingredients for you to choose from. Also Cinnamon Raisin bagel toasted, with cream cheese or little bit peanut butter and jelly, ohh you good to go in the morning with some fresh brewed coffee ☕️. They have a lot of delicious danishes, if you go to the left you can get some really tasty homemade bread and cookies. Also very clean store, which is great, it has a lot of sunlight so it’s easy to notice. Overall highly recommend for your breakfast/lunch spot.
April 29 · Zarina AldWe ordered a birthday cake for my mother's 93rd birthday. It was beautiful, and my mother loved it. The cake was also delicious and moist, and the service was excellent.
September 07 · Debra BakerCute place, lots of options. My bagel had the essence of cream cheese. The employees were wearing EarPods and screaming at customers bc obviously they couldn’t hear.
October 30 · MayraOne of the workers at the bagel shop always has a terrible attitude. He is very condescending and was complaining I took too many napkins and wanted to charge me an extra $1. He is losing you business, because many people are going to competing stores for their breakfast. Today is Tuesday, July 23, 9 am. Please let him know that his customer service and attitude are unacceptable and if he doesn’t fix it, maybe he should get another job…
