July 13 · Ahmad Zia Zia⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review – Royal Kabab & GrillI had a fantastic dinner at Royal Kabab & Grill and I highly recommend this place! I ordered the Chicken Tikka Kabab, which came beautifully presented with aromatic rice, a fresh mixed salad, and two flavorful sauces. The chicken was well-grilled and full of delicious smoky flavor. The rice was well-cooked and paired wonderfully with the kababs, while the mixed salad and fries added a refreshing touch and great texture. The ambiance was clean and modern, with a cozy, well-lit dining area that made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff was polite and the service was quick. If you’re looking for authentic and delicious South Asian flavors in a comfortable setting, this is the place to go!
June 26 · Tahir KhanRoyal Kabab & Grill – Friendly Service, Clean Space, But Food Needs WorkRoyal Kabab & Grill is a small, halal restaurant with a clean, charming interior and a cozy atmosphere, likely seating around 10 tables. I stopped by around 4:00 PM, a quiet time between lunch and dinner. One of the best parts of the experience was the service: the woman behind the counter was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which set a positive tone.I browsed the counter menu and initially asked for the chicken kabab, but it wasn’t available. I was offered the lamb chops instead, though at $30, the price felt too steep for a casual spot. While I understand that meat prices are up, it still seemed excessive. I went with the beef kabab (beef cubes) for $18, still not cheap, especially given the quality. The wait was about 15–20 minutes, which seemed fair for freshly cooked food. The dish came out on a sleek black plate but lacked visual appeal. It included beef cubes, a mixed salad already heavy with dressing, and a generous portion of hot, crispy French fries, the fries were easily the best part of the meal.Unfortunately, the beef was disappointing. It was overcooked, with some pieces burnt, dry, and tough to chew. It seemed like the meat had been pre-cooked and then reheated on the grill. I could only manage a few bites. The salad was fresh but completely overpowered by the dressing, leaving no room for the actual flavors to come through. When I asked for water, I was given a bottle with no glass and no offer of tap water, a small but noticeable detail in terms of hospitality. On a positive note, the bathroom was very clean,a good sign of overall care in the establishment.Final Thoughts:- The service and cleanliness were great.- The beef kabab fell short, dry, overcooked, and overpriced.- French fries were solid.- Salad had potential but was overwhelmed by dressing.- Pricing felt high for the experience delivered.I might return to try a different dish, as one visit doesn’t define a place, but improvements are definitely needed.Suggestions:- Serve salad dressing on the side- Improve meat preparation, fresher cuts, properly grilled- Adjust pricing or portion value- Offer tap water and serve bottled water with a glassThere’s potential here. With some refinements, Royal Kabab & Grill could offer much more than it does today.
August 05 · Rabah CheboutDelicious food! We ordered the beef biryani, royal grill platter and the lamb chops platter. Would recommend the beef biryani, really flavoursome. Would definitely come back on our next trip to NYC.
May 22 · Mashura SiddikaI’m never ordering from this place again. A couple months ago I got a chicken shawarma platter (see last slide). Today I ordered the chicken tikka kebab platter and was really disappointed to see how much the portion size has gone down. It came in a tiny takeout tray and cost $19.60. I already thought the price was high last time, but this is even more ridiculous considering how little food they gave. The flavor was good and the tikka was tender, but this is not the amount of food I should be getting in Ozone Park for $20.And don’t get me started on the falafel ($8.71). The outside wasn’t crispy at all and the inside was super dry. Definitely would not recommend the falafel.
