★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1As we passed this place on our way to dinner, we knew we had to come back for dessert. We were so glad we did. After dinner, we returned, feeling a bit full, so we decided to share the matcha bingsoo. It was incredibly light and not overwhelming with extra toppings. Instead, it was simply light shaved ice "snow" topped with matcha ice cream, powder, and syrup. Thankfully, it wasn't overly sweet and was the perfect end to our night. They have three flavors of bingsoo: matcha, mango, and strawberry. We used the two kiosks near the entrance to see what the different bingsoos looked like before we ordered. While the kiosks make ordering easy, I highly recommend going inside to see their full dessert display. The selection is extensive, and everything looks so pretty. Since it was so late, we skipped coffee but appreciated the complimentary herb-flavored water by the cashier. The cafe's aesthetic is serene and modern, with fun music playing in the background. We could easily hold a conversation without shouting. Signs on the wall asked patrons to leave their dishes on the table, and the staff was quick to clear everything away and clean the table and seats. The service was fast, and the servers were friendly and helpful. It's clear they take great pride in their work; the presentation of their drinks and desserts is well-thought-out and makes for a wonderful experience.
September 13 · B CSuper cute modern jewelry-store-looking cafe in Koreatown. Average desserts and you’re paying for the vibes and pics, not for the food quality or service.Food: $50 for 4 items (two desserts, two drinks) is steep for a casual, small menu cafe.- Strawberry bingsoo was $18 (!!); pretty good but not $18 good. Portion size doesn’t even justify the price.- Hot chocolate was only room temperature.- Strawberry latte was mostly milk and a bit of strawberry at the bottom. Nearly flavorless.- Strawberry cake was pretty good.Service: You may assume they overcompensate with good service- nope, not that either. They didn’t have forks or spoons stocked so had to use small disposable ones. We sat upstairs and they let you leave the trays at the table, which weren’t consistently cleaned up. We were there almost two hours till closing and no one cleaned up the dishes from the people before us.Maybe if I’m trying to impress someone for a quick bite I’d take them here. Otherwise it’s crowded and you’re better off going to Grace Street or somewhere else nearby.
July 24 · Iun ChenSeoul Sweet is a hidden gem with elegant presentation and balanced flavors. I tried their black sesame roll and a layered mousse cake (with what tasted like blueberry and cream) — both were light, creamy, and not overly sweet. The aesthetic is minimalist and calming, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. The iced coffee was smooth and well-brewed too. Will definitely come back!
June 26 · Nichakorn ChokrhiansukchaiNice Korean Cafe in Koreatown!! Everything was delightful and good!Location: It is located along Koreatown. The aesthetic of the place was clean and airy. Lot of seating, and has second floor with a street view.Service: not much interaction, just pay and wait for order.Food: Everything was good and very light.MUGWORT EINSPANNER: so earthy taste and not that sweet. I felt like its a comfort drink.STRAWBERRY LATTE: again not that sweet and my favorite drink. Strawberry puree makes it good.DAO SANG: this is a set of sweets with hot tea of your choice. I chose chamomile tea and it was very comforting. The sweets are half of strawberry mochi, Joo-Ak, Yak-Gwa, fried potato and this black sesame jelly. The sweets are all good and it was perfect combination with the tea.Price rating: 7/10. It was not expensive for the good desserts.Definitely will come back to try other desserts.
June 13 · Mark NowellIt should be always more than a coffee and a pastry together. From their rice cakes, joo-ak, mochi and yak gwa. A lot of choices. That Korean vibe really be hitting different. And bonus is that their desserts aren’t that really sweet just the right amount of sweetness.I can’t drink coffee so I had strawberry latte with almond milk and we ordered some jasmine tea to have it partnered with all the dessert we had ordered and tried. They have a spacious area, there are more seats at the 2nd floor and the ambiance was really nice having those dessert and a good company would be a perfect place to have that talk and some catching up with friends. Also very easy to locate, in the middle of everything. Might wanna try and stop by after a long walk? Certainly a good spot.
