## What Is Worth Choosing
For New Yorkers seeking an unparalleled journey into Central Asian flavors, Sherdor Restaurant offers several dishes and experiences that are absolutely essential to try.
The top recommendation must be the Uzbek Plov or the Chayhona Plov. This is the national dish of Uzbekistan, a hearty rice pilaf traditionally made with slow-cooked meat, carrots, onions, and spices. It is the defining feature of the cuisine and Sherdor’s rendition is known to be authentic and delicious. Paired with the Plov, you should order the Achichuck Salad, a simple, refreshing tomato and onion salad that perfectly balances the richness of the main course.
A visit is incomplete without sampling the homemade delights. The Manti (4 Pcs), which are tender, steamed dumplings, are highly praised for their light, melt-in-your-mouth dough. If you prefer a baked pastry, the Samsa (savory meat or pumpkin pastries) from the Hot Appetizers section is a must. For soup lovers, the Lagman Soup, a hearty noodle soup, provides excellent comfort, especially on a chilly New York day.
From the Shish Kebabs and Grill menu, choosing one of the traditional meats like the Lamb Kebab or Lamb Loin showcases the restaurant’s skill with the grill. These are often served with traditional sides that complete the meal. Finally, for a touch of unique flavor, try the Tashkent Salad or the signature Sherdor Salad. And don't forget the Non (Uzbek Round Bread), a simple but essential accompaniment to any meal.
In summary, Sherdor is worth choosing not just for its status as one of the best Uzbeki restaurants in NYC, but for the depth of its menu, the quality of its Halal food offerings, and the consistent excellence of the in-house dining experience. It is a genuine culinary gem in Brooklyn, offering comfort food that feels both exotic and deeply satisfying.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I won’t lower my rating just because the food is amazing — it truly is. However, I do want to point out some issues, and I hope the management reads this and takes it into account.I’ve dined inside the restaurant multiple times, and the experience has always been excellent — friendly and welcoming staff, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. But the delivery service doesn’t quite live up to the in-house experience.First, the delivery time is often longer than expected. Second, the accuracy of the order needs improvement. I frequently order the Marakand salad, which allows you to choose the style of eggs. No matter what I select, it always arrives the same way. Last time I specifically ordered sunny side (as you can see in the screenshot), but got something else again. Also, although I requested utensils, none were provided. On the bright side, I was pleasantly surprised to see sour cream included with the manty, and the dough on the manty is absolutely perfect — soft and melts in your mouth. The flatbread was cold, unfortunately. But I appreciated the small bonus salad that came with the pilaf — a nice and tasty touch.Overall: excellent food, but there’s definitely room for improvement in the delivery service.
April 17 · Anna ToptalinaOmggggggg !!! The taste the ambience the staff the prices all 1010 . This is the hands down the best uzbeki in NYC . Every single bite had me mesmerized. I’m coming back again soon. I drive 30 miles for this.
May 29 · Abdul MalikThe most authentic taste of Central Asia! It’s been some years I haven’t had a good Pilov. Aside from the great food, the staff are super nice and friendly. Will definitely visit this place again.
March 22 · Ahmad Behroozianended up at this place after finding out our original destination Karavan was closed. very mediocre food and service. The audacity to voluntarily charge 18% gratuity for party of 3 for the lackluster service they provided That’s a robbery in broad daylight.
May 22 · J. GurungThe food was wonderful. It reminded me of my own Azerbaijani cultural food. Plov and kebab was of the highest quality and service really nice!
