★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was sitting outside at this bar with my son, who was quietly doing his homework. There were nine completely empty tables, they were closed and I clearly stated we would be leaving in 15 to 20 minutes.A man with two hoop earrings — not sure if he was the bartender, manager, or owner — came over and asked us to leave with aggression, despite the fact that no one else was using the space.I have no comment on the food or drinks because we didn’t come to order. But if this is how they treat people who live nearby and have been here before, it’s not just bad customer service — it’s senseless. He wasn’t even working, he was hanging out.
June 24 · DavidLike a brief escape to Europe, but infused with the unmistakable charm of the Lower East Side. Skin Contact is the perfect stop along the car-free stretch of Orchard Street. The service was impeccable — Keira guided us with ease and expertise to the perfect glass from their beautifully curated wine list. With alllll the professionalism, sass and absolute attention to detail. There’s something about a soft breeze on a July Sunday in New York, sipping Vitovska on the sidewalk at Skin Contact, that makes it all feel a little more bearable — maybe even hopeful. Thanks, Keira. We’ll be back.
July 13 · Dustin Dyeri actually love their wine list… but unfortunately they’ve been accidentally charging people the price of a wine bottle instead of their glasses. two glasses of wine costed $70, we did catch it in time. Ironically, we overheard another patron come in while we were there complaining about getting charged $80 for 2 glasses of wine. If you come here, don’t get too drunk u forget to check ur bill!
September 17 · Aditya AnchaReally cool wine bar in NYC.All organic wines with really interesting flavor profiles. We had a bottle of orange wine with a low funk and a bottle of red wine with a higher funk level. They were both super interesting and fun to drink. The bartenders were super knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations!
December 04 · RajThis place is a fantastic wine bar! 🍷 Skin Contact serves wonderful selection of unique wines 🍾 including skin-contact wine a.k.a "Orange 🟠 Wine" (white wine where the grapes 🍇 are fermented with the skins on and is not removed). Definitely try their LAG wine! Staff 👨🍳 is super professional and friendly, service is quick ⏲️, ambience 🎶 is great, and the place is nicely decorated. 🛋️ I wish I heard about this place sooner!
