Chocolate shop, Candy store ★3.0

3-03 30th St, Queens, NY 10001, USA

3.0
I went to this outlet on August 16th 2024 at approximately 6:32am.The person behind the register was exceptionally rude. I greeted her and asked if they had another option for an item I wanted. She did not respond verbally but instead, gestured with considerable attitude to the other option.I said " Good morning " and she took my item off the counter and cashed it, again not communicating.I asked if she was okay. She looked at me, rolled her eyes and asked "why wouldn't I be?!" I let her know I was asking because something seemed a bit off. She then stated price of the item and stood waiting for payment. So Chocolate, if you have video footage, review the interaction yourself. Is this the way you want your brand represented?Just asking, because I will not be shopping at nor recommending your outlet to anyone after that interaction. - G Figs

  • High-Speed Convenience: Its categorization as a Quick visit venue with Takeout as the core service is a major highlight, perfectly suiting the fast-paced life of New Yorkers who need an instant sweet fix.

Contact Information

For local residents of Queens and other New Yorkers looking to find this convenient sweet spot, the primary location details are as follows. Note that public phone information is often not available for stores focused on quick-service retail.

Address: 3-03 30th St, Queens, NY 10001, USA

Note: A public phone number is not available in the provided information. We encourage New Yorkers to visit the location directly for the fastest service, as the shop is designed for a Quick visit.

What is Worth Choosing

Since specific menu items are not publicly detailed, what is worth choosing at So Chocolate is defined by the shop’s identity as a convenient source for a wide array of confections. New Yorkers should approach this venue looking for efficiency, variety, and an immediate sugar rush.

The Convenience Factor

The most valuable choice a customer makes here is the selection of speed and immediate gratification. For a quick, no-fuss Dessert or a small gift, the shop’s offerings are an excellent fit.

  • Last-Minute Gift Boxes: Look for pre-packaged assortments of chocolate or candy that serve as perfect grab-and-go gifts, saving the time a customer might spend waiting at a full-service confectioner.
  • Personal Treat Selection: Since it functions as a Candy store as well, explore the non-chocolate options. This variety allows a customer to choose based on impulse rather than dedication to a single, high-end chocolate type.
  • Mobile Payment Purchase: Utilizing the NFC mobile payments option is the most efficient choice, allowing for a virtually instantaneous and contactless transaction, maximizing the shop’s "Quick visit" promise.

Addressing the Service Experience

It is important for New Yorkers to be aware that while the shop is praised for being "good," customer feedback has highlighted significant issues with staff demeanor and attitude, particularly regarding morning visits. One customer reported an "exceptionally rude" and uncommunicative interaction, suggesting potential inconsistency in service quality. Another noted a surprise at being charged tax in what they assumed was a duty-free zone.

Therefore, when choosing So Chocolate, a local customer should prioritize the expediency of the Takeout process and the available product, but manage expectations regarding the level of customer service. Choosing to shop during less busy hours or being prepared for a purely transactional interaction may help streamline the experience and ensure the primary goal—a quick, satisfactory Dessert—is met without complication. This transparency ensures New Yorkers can make an informed decision when seeking a speedy sweet treat in Queens.
