March 22 · Dav GreenTime & Tide was an awesome experience! We were celebrating a birthday on a winter Thursday night. If you go early in the evening, there is less of a crowd. By 7 or 8 pm, the tables are full and bar has a few seats left. The apps and entrees are delectable. The oversized goldfish cracker with old bay butter is nice, just not essential. The veggie fries were incredible. I would get those "fishy fries" anytime. We had the pineapple snapper, swordfish, and mushroom Wellington dish. Everything was really good. The crispy black rice was a miss however, the carrots were spicy and a hit! The cocktails were nice, just different because the restaurant does not carry classic liquor. All of the liquor is bespoke and lesser known to local patrons. The olive oil cake is mesmerizing. Oh who can forgot the playlist. Such a vibe. I cannot wait to return.
March 05 · X. MoorerWe went as a group and ordered what felt like the entire menu. Things to get are the nori fries, mackerel, dill Caesar salad, halibut plithvier, tuna collar, skirt steak, coconut sorbet, and the drinks. Things that can be skipped are the fragile goldfish cracker, nondescript oysters, crudo, and plantains, and chocolate mouse. Things people were split on liking were the squid cacio e pepe, asparagus, slightly over charred broccolini, and monkfish. Honestly, I’d come back for just the cocktails, nori fries, and mackerel for a date rather than dinner. The bar is fairly small. The restaurant is pretty large.
April 23 · Jaye Aster BroderThis new place from the late Chef Kent and Danny Garcia is nothing short of phenomenal. Went here for a friend birthday lunch and had the best service you can imagine. The staff were super nice and helped us with choosing what to eat. The menu may look the run of the mill, but it is far from. The lobster rolls and (upgrade) to nori fries was an excellent combination. The lobster roll itself was a chef kiss. chef Danny always incorporated the right balance of crunch, acid, salt, and sweet. I would recommend everything on the menu.We got the goldfish, tuna tostada, and crispy calamari with cacio e pepe was another wonder you didn't know you needed. For our main, we ordered the lobster roll, beet falafel and grilled skirt steak. Everything was cooked perfectly and flavor bombs throughout the dish.It was my friend's birthday and they brought out this little goldfish cake, it was the extra that made it that more special. Lastly we got the tres leches, it is made with cornmeal and added a bit of depth to elevate this decadent dessert.
June 07 · Elizabeth YeeWe chose Time and Tide to celebrate my birthday. It was hands down one of the BEST dining experiences. From the food, to the service, to the ambiance, everything was perfection. Kal, all of our servers, and even chef Danny made sure that everything was perfect for my birthday; I don’t think I’ve ever had an experience where everyone was so attentive to our every need. Next, the food! We ordered the goldfish cracker, nori fries, leek salad, cacio e pepe squid, prawns a la plancha, grilled strip steak, roasted carrots, crispy black rice, and lastly the olive oil cake for dessert. It was pure perfection and deliciousness. I highly recommend this restaurant!
