★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Where do I begin....the food is AMAZING. I have never had collard greens like this before. It wasn't bitter at all, which I don't and wouldn't mind but this was unique, bursting with flavor. It had a little zing, a little spice, some heat, sweetness (probably honey), and some fresh acidity to cleanse the palette for the next bite. The Mac "n" Cheese was baked to perfection. It was everything you want Mac "n" Cheese to be. It was creamy, very cheesy, not overly salty, and very savory. I got ribs (since they were out of chicken) and boy did it not disappoint. It was firm but tender, simple but leaving you wanting more after each bite. And the service was superb. The guy working tonight was the owners son. Very kind, honest, and considerate. He even gave me a free piece of sweet potato corn bread and promised it was good, and he definitely didn't lie. My three older who doesn't really eat cornbread ate it up. I give this place a 10/10 and will be frequenting here often. Thanks for an amazing meal and no they did not ask me to write this review and no I don't work here. Just believing not gatekeeping and writing honest reviews. Check them out, you'll see for yourself.
August 30 · Misou JWow, the fried pork chops were so delicious and the fried chicken as well. Flavor packed in the Mac and the greens. Customer service is on point and I will be coming back!!!
September 29 · Hannah ConlonWhen they first opened it was better. Customer service needs improvement. From greeting to handling food. I will say the sweet potatoes were delicious. Greens were too heavily seasoned though, which made them spicy. Also, no prices listed anywhere. so your not sure what you are paying for. Paid $12 for the pork chop dinner. Great taste but kinda overcooked. Maybe because the guy was on the phone in the kitchen. I do like how the cook certain things that are not out front when you order. Like shrimp, pork chop and a few other things. I wish I got 2 pork chops. Even if I paid 14 or 15 dollars. I may try on a weekend day get better service.
November 26 · D MaeWell as you all may know, it’s hard to find a good soul food place on Long Island. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place is. The only issue I had was the styrofoam to go containers but it’s not like I can’t take it out of the plate. Loved it and hope to keep going. Forgot to take a before picture.
