Ziggle Tofu & Grill Introduce
In the heart of New York City, where a world of culinary delights awaits at every turn, Ziggle Tofu & Grill stands out as a genuine gem for lovers of authentic Korean cuisine. This restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it's a destination for those seeking the comforting, vibrant, and rich flavors of Korea. Named after the "ziggle" sound of sizzling food on a hot plate, this eatery perfectly captures the essence of a warm and inviting dining experience. Unlike some of the more bustling, large-scale Korean establishments, Ziggle Tofu & Grill offers a cozier, more intimate atmosphere that feels both casual and trendy. It's the kind of place where you can relax and savor a meal crafted with care, whether you're dining with family, a group of friends, or enjoying a moment of solo reflection.
The restaurant’s menu is a testament to the diversity and depth of Korean cooking, with a special emphasis on its two namesake specialties: soft tofu stews and Korean barbecue. The soft tofu stews, or "soondubu," are a must-try, available with a variety of ingredients like seafood, beef, or kimchi, and served in a hot stone bowl. These stews are deeply flavorful, hearty, and perfect for warming up on a chilly New York day. For those who crave the smoky, savory taste of grilled meats, the Korean barbecue options, such as the Beef Bulgogi or Spicy Pork Bulgogi, are prepared expertly and served with all the traditional accompaniments. Beyond these staples, the menu features a wide array of other classic dishes, including savory pancakes ("jeon"), hot stone bibimbap, and a variety of delicious appetizers. The commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients is evident in every bite, making each dish feel both healthy and satisfying.
Ziggle Tofu & Grill has carved out a niche for itself by providing a dining experience that feels both authentic and accessible. The extensive menu, which includes a dedicated "Ziggle Box" for a complete meal, caters to a wide range of tastes and preferences. They pride themselves on offering a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, ensuring that everyone can find something to enjoy. From the fresh and crunchy Tofu Salad to the hearty Tofu Stew, the restaurant demonstrates that delicious Korean food can be enjoyed by all. It's this dedication to inclusivity and quality that has made it a popular spot for a variety of crowds, from families with kids to college students and tourists exploring the city.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The place is nice. The location is good. The waitress came to take our order and then walked away. 8 minutes after taking our order she still had not asked what we wanted to drink. I had to finally ask her if I can get some soda and she still didn't ask my friend what she wanted to drink and started walking away. My friend got her attention and asked her to get her a soda as well. The food presentation was nice. The kimchi tasted good. The mashed potato was good. The beef bulgolgi was kind of bland and soupy. I wasn't a fan of the soup that came with my box. Overall it was cool. Unfortunately, I don't think I would go back again as my friend and I both agreed the food could have tasted better.
September 11 · Nilma QuirosThis restaurant is absolutely amazing! It is close to and in walking distance of Bryant Park. This is one of the best Korean restaurants I have ever been to. The staff is super friendly and they greet you with a big smile when you come in. They have lots of amazing vegetarian options! We had the cheese, rice, cake noodle appetizer, and the tofu stew with rice and vegetables. Both things tasted amazing and they were accompanied by some freshly pickled vegetables and sides that really added to the volume and flavor of the dishes we ordered. I highly recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to come back here next time we are visiting New York City. Prices are average for a restaurant in New York City for two people. We were able to get a hearty lunch for $42 including tax and tip.
May 10 · Arpit DaveThe food was great. When I walked in the servers greeted me with kindness. The restaurant was playing a bunch of soft k-pop music which I enjoyed. They gave us a Korean palette cleanser which was good. I got the chicken tofu hot stew served with rice and it was really good. Tip is to ask for the spicy Korean sauce and pour some on your rice.Went back a week later and tried the bento box this time. I liked the noodles that it came with but I preferred the tofu hot stew.
July 29 · Dylan MarshallHighly recommend this casual yet aesthetic Korean restaurant. Their Ziggle box and bibimpap was exquisite. If you are around the area definitely stop by. The staffs are very kind and the owner is friendly. You can ask for food containers if you are full as well.
September 04 · Beatriz ShimadaWe had a fantastic meal. Honestly, everything was perfect: the food, the setting, and especially the service. The dishes were excellent, the desserts were amazing and 100% homemade, and the staff was outstanding. It’s an experience we’ll remember for a long time, and we can only highly recommend it.
