99 Cent Village Pizza Introduce
In the fast-paced, often expensive world of New York City, there's an enduring tradition that stands as a testament to the city's unique culture: the dollar slice. 99 Cent Village Pizza, located in the heart of Greenwich Village, is a living embodiment of this tradition. While its name might harken back to a bygone era of true 99-cent slices, this spot remains a staple for anyone looking for a quick, cheap, and satisfying bite. It's not a fancy sit-down restaurant, and it's not trying to be. Instead, it offers a no-frills, authentic New York experience that prioritizes speed and value above all else.
This pizza joint is an essential stop for a specific kind of New York moment—a late-night snack after bar hopping, a budget-friendly lunch, or a quick dinner on the go. The atmosphere is casual, designed for a grab-and-go model with standing room only. The clientele is a mix of locals, students, and night owls, all drawn in by the promise of a cheap slice that delivers on taste. While the name is a bit of a misnomer—the slices are now $1.50 or more—the value proposition remains strong, especially when compared to the $6+ slices found at other pizzerias in the area.
What truly sets 99 Cent Village Pizza apart is its surprisingly extensive menu beyond the classic slice. Alongside the pizza, they offer an incredible variety of fresh smoothies, juices, milkshakes, and even hot teas. This diverse menu caters to a wide range of cravings, from a healthy green juice to a sweet and creamy milkshake. This makes it a one-stop-shop for a quick meal, whether you're in the mood for a slice of pepperoni pizza or a "Green Monster" smoothie. It’s a testament to the fact that even the most basic of New York institutions can have a hidden depth.
Like any truly authentic New York experience, it comes with a certain edge. Patrons should be prepared for a small, crowded space and a staff that is efficient but can sometimes be brusque. It’s part of the charm, and a reminder that this is a place built for function, not for lingering. For those who understand and embrace this, 99 Cent Village Pizza is a reliable and beloved part of the neighborhood.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Th 99 Cents pizza store is a staple spot for a quick cheap bite when you are bar hopping Greenwich Village. This spot is not fancy. It's a small storefront with standing room only - it's not meant to hang out in. Yes, you will encounter some panhandlers, yes most of the people that go here are either cheap or broke (both). But if you are not looking to pay $6+ for a slice at one of the larger spots, who cares??99 Cents Pizza now has an extensive menu with the addition of desserts like brownies cookie, and and churros for $2.50 and under. Which I am betting caters to marijuana dispensaries nearby and the smokers looking for a late night cure for their munchies. It may be called 99 cents pizza, but the slices cost $1.50 cents now...and it still tastes like 99 cents pizza. So, temper your expectations, satiate your appetite, and save a buck.
March 29 · Nez B.I DON’T KNOW HOW! But to my surprise after waking up this morning I see that my bank account is down $100 after me having been home all morning! Someway .. somehow this place’s address is showing up on my transactions for an ATM withdrawal that I did not make nor have I ever even stepped foot in this establishment! I don’t know what they have going on but don’t even walk by the place because it’s giving some sort of ATM skimming scam!
April 25 · Brittney JohnsonBarf. Watched him pick then wipe his nose on the kitchen towel. Can’t wait to get designatory. Great pizza tho!
September 09 · Christopher GabrelsI rarely rate something with 1 star but this place doesn't deserve more.Margharita was absolutely disgusting. The BBQ chicken was ok.Not a welcoming atmosphere either.Prices not anywhere near 99 cents.
August 19 · Danny DThe workers got mad at some guy and gave every other customer attitude when he left. It was mad annoying and I had to ask them to put the cheese pizza back in the over after already waiting but the pizza is fire🔥🔥🔥🔥
