DubuHaus Introduce
In the vibrant heart of New York City's Koreatown, a new and exceptional dining experience has arrived: DubuHaus. This is not just another Korean restaurant; it is a "temple to tofu" that is redefining how New Yorkers experience this staple ingredient. As the name suggests, "dubu" (tofu) is the star of the show, but what sets DubuHaus apart is its commitment to making its own tofu fresh, in-house, every single day. This dedication to craftsmanship and tradition is palpable in every dish, offering a taste that is both authentic and elevated.
The atmosphere at DubuHaus is a harmonious blend of traditional Korean aesthetics and modern, clean design. The interior is described as having a "modern clean speak fusion aesthetic" with a "very Korean still" feel, featuring hanok-inspired woodwork and natural stone tiles. This sleek and warm environment provides a perfect backdrop for a group dinner or a casual lunch. Customers often praise the staff, noting that they are "super super friendly" and many are Korean, which adds to the authentic and welcoming feel.
The menu at DubuHaus is a carefully curated selection of traditional Korean cuisine with a focus on fresh, handmade tofu. The signature dish is the soondubu, a silky soft tofu stew that comes in a variety of styles, from the classic Beef Soondubu to the unique Maesaengi Oyster Soondubu. But the menu extends far beyond stews, offering an impressive range of appetizers, bibimbap, hotpots, and signature dishes. A customer's review highlighted the tender and delicious "Braised Short Rib" as a must-try for families, and the "Nutritious Kettle Pot Rice," a dish that is "hard to find outside of Korea," received high praise. To top it all off, the complimentary tofu soft serve at the end of the meal is a delightful surprise that showcases the versatility of their house-made tofu.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Walked in during Saturday lunch and was immediately seated with a party of 3.As you see in the photos, modern clean speak fusion aesthetic interior. Very Korean still. (For authenticity check, I am Korean)Staff are super super friendly and lots of them are Korean. Menu is perfect, and tons of soft tofu options. They first bring out a small bowl of fresh tofu (yum) and they have deluxe side dishes. They also bring out a soft serve with roasted rice powder at the end (served).
June 14 · Grace ParkI visited DubuHaus with my family after traveling for spring break. We were all craving for authentic Korean food and after some googling we found out that a new tofu place (that actually makes their own tofu) opened in Koreatown and decided to take a try with a few friends. We started off with the gogi mandu which was a great hit with the kids. We then ordered white rice, braised short ribs and the yellow croaker for the kids and nutritious rice, bossam, budae soondubu, spicy pork & dubu for the adults. We also had some makgeoli (rice wine) to compliment the meal and dubu ice cream to finish off.Overall the food was really good. We highly recommend short ribs if visiting with kids. The meat was tender and easy to chew on and the sauce was really good that my daughter decided to make her own version of bibimbap adding the sauce, mushrooms and meat to her rice and mixing it up. My husband and I really enjoyed the budae soondubu, bossam and especially the nutritious rice which is hard to find outside of Korea. The tofu was fresh and flavorful with texture unlike other tofu places. The dubu ice cream that came out for dessert was a delight as well. We didn't notice until the end that it wasn't vanilla but in fact tofu.Anyway, we would come again especially with groups of friends with different dietary restrictions(vegan) or looking for authentic Korean food.
April 20 · Ellen LeeThis newly opened restaurant in the heart of k-town, will be my favorite. The beautiful grand entrance welcomes you at first sight. The interior is modern and warm. Having said that, let me tell you about the food, I mean atmosphere is great too but you know it's all about the food! ;) Already I visited twice in just 3 days and planning on another very soon. First, as it is "dubu haus" the dubu (korean for tofu) was top quality! Reminiscent of how my grandmother made when I was a baby. Authentic!!! If you love tofu, this place will top every tofu house you ever visited. And my fellow dieters and vegetarians, you know you need your healthy protein. All the other dishes were just full of flavors from nutty to savory to fiery if you can tolerate spicy. I couldn't just recommend one specific dish. And please pair with some makgeoli (korean rice drink) by their awesome mixologist. You just gotta come everyday to try all the dishes!
April 23 · Im JAmieWe ordered Dubu with spicy pork stir fry, three different kinds of Dubu stews and nutritious rice. They were authentic K cuisine and delicious. The hall was too much noisy it was because they designed host many customers in a small hall.
September 19 · Jae YoonI only gave a 4-star for food as I would like to taste first all the others dishes.Late afternoon with no reservation. And was easily seated. Atmosphere was great, clean and minimalist design.Ordered their cold parallax oil buckwheat noodle and it taste great and just the right serving. Love the variety of the banchan. Will definitely come back.
