★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Loved it! W/ a brasserie, ya gotta start with good cocktail and/or wine. Bingo w the Manhattan!! Now the meal part: as a general rule, I never order chicken at any good restaurant given that other meats require more expertise and have better taste. But the. Coq au Vin was strongly recommended by CJ. So I went with it and it was superb. Salmon was also good as were the green beans and the Creme Brulee. And do not miss having that Negroni cocktail. I had two of them and they were awesome.
June 03 · Philip DeCosseWe loved the food, the atmosphere and the service. Their onion soup is amazing. We ordered delivery a few times and still very good. My son loves their raspberry sorbet. We like their outdoors. Every time we are in the mood for French cuisine this is the restaurant we choose.
July 12 · Simona ChenaultDisappointing French FareHad high hopes for this local French spot but left underwhelmed. The eggs Benedict were completely bland—no seasoning or flavor to speak of. The escargot were decent, though nothing to rave about. But the real disappointment was the French onion soup. It was made with what tasted like chicken or vegetable stock, lacking the deep, beefy richness the dish calls for. To top it off, it was covered in bits of shredded cheese that had no business being on a French onion soup. Sadly, not the authentic French experience I was hoping for.
July 26 · N PI live in the neighborhood so I've become a regular at the lovely Jacques. My first impression was that the entire staff was friendly, kind, hard working and the food was delicious. As I've visited more and more, this could not be more true! Everyone is attentive, caring and will do whatever necessary to give you the best experience. The ambiance is beyond sweet with incredible food. Always decorated for different holidays too. My favorite place in the world!!
December 22 · Kelly BuffinVery good French restaurant on the UES. They start you off with delicious bread and butter. I ordered the branzino which was one of the best I’ve ever had. Great portion with Brussels sprouts and chorizo sauce. Food did take a while to arrive but worth the wait. We had an apple tart for dessert served with vanilla ice cream. Outdoor seating available which is fantastic during these spring months.
