The name "Messy Donuts" hints at the fun and playful nature of the shop. These aren't your typical, overly-large, and intimidating donuts. Customers praise the freshly made nature of the donuts, often noting that they are served warm, which enhances their taste and texture. The experience is not just about the food; it's about the excitement of customization and the joy of a simple, well-made dessert. The staff at Messy Donuts are a key part of the positive experience. They are described as friendly, helpful, and eager to guide customers through the customization process. Messy Donuts provides services that cater to the fast-paced nature of New York City life, focusing on convenience and accessibility for its customers.
Takeout: As a shop with no indoor seating, takeout is the primary service offered. Customers can walk up, place their order, watch their mini donuts being made fresh, and take their delicious treat with them to enjoy while they continue their day.
Delivery: For those who are not in the immediate vicinity or prefer the comfort of their home, Messy Donuts offers delivery. This service allows you to enjoy their unique, fresh mini donuts without having to leave your location, making it a perfect option for a work-day treat or a late-night craving.
Messy Donuts stands out from other bakeries by focusing on a few key, high-quality features that make the experience memorable.
Mini Donuts: The main highlight is the product itself—mini donuts. These small, fluffy, and freshly made treats are easy to eat, less overwhelming than a full-sized donut, and perfect for a light, satisfying snack.
Customization: The ability to customize your order is a major feature. Customers can choose from a mix of toppings and flavors, with the staff even providing suggestions for pairings. This interactive element makes each visit unique and personal.
Freshly Made: A significant point of praise is that the donuts are made fresh and served warm. This dedication to freshness ensures a superior taste and texture that sets them apart from pre-made or day-old options.
Unique Menu: While the menu is concise, it’s unique. Beyond the mini donuts, the Choc'o Berries and Cup'o Delight offer different textures and flavor profiles, providing variety without overwhelming choices.
Friendly Staff: The positive reviews frequently mention the friendly and helpful nature of the staff. Their ability to explain the menu and offer suggestions creates a welcoming environment, which is a major factor in customer satisfaction and loyalty.

With a focused menu, the choices at Messy Donuts are all about flavor and preference. The signature Messy Donuts are, of course, the main event. A great way to try them is to get a mixed order, allowing you to sample different toppings and flavors. The customization is key, so don’t hesitate to ask the staff for their recommendations, as they are a great resource for finding the perfect flavor combination.
For those who love fruit and chocolate, the Choc'o Berries are a must-try. These are described as featuring "massive" strawberries, which, while potentially messy to eat, are a testament to the fresh ingredients used. The combination of fresh fruit and chocolate is a classic for a reason, and it offers a different kind of sweetness compared to the donuts.
Finally, for a complete experience, consider adding the Cup'o Delight to your order. While the specific ingredients are not detailed, the name suggests a delightful and unique combination of textures and flavors. It's an excellent way to try something different from the donuts and berries while still enjoying a sweet, high-quality treat.
Overall, Messy Donuts is a fantastic spot for a quick, delicious, and customizable treat. The focus on freshly made mini donuts, a unique and concise menu, and the friendly staff make it a truly special place in the bustling New York food scene. It’s a perfect reminder that sometimes, the best things in life are small, warm, and a little bit messy.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Messy Donuts is a mini donut shop located in a little pop up section right on the same street as K-Town. The store has no indoor seating, but uses its space effectively to advertise. The staff was friendly and able to explain how their store works. It is a bit loud due to it being right off the street, but staff were friendly and understanding. We got a mix of donuts, with toppings like strawberries and other things. They were fluffy and not too overwhelming, and overall tasted quite good with a mix of toppings.Overall, a nice spot to visit if you want a quick treat.
January 17 · Nick SThese mini donuts are unreal. I could use these for snack during work hours, except I don't work around here, so that's a disappointment.Anyways, one order of the mini donuts, they are super customizable and if you need help picking and choosing flavors and toppings, the staff member can provide suggestions and pairings. I got the Ube and Pistachio and they both taste great, especially when they're freshly made and warm.I've also tried the Strawberry Covered Chocolates and those strawberries were massive. The problem with massive strawberries is eating them. If I had a knife, I could cut them into smaller pieces as eating them on a skewer stick got really messy. Also the strawberry itself overpowered any of the chocolate taste, so it didn't balance well in terms of taste. For sure favored the milk chocolate over the dark chocolate.
