★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Shake Shack really lives up to the hype — hands down the best burger chain in New York. The burgers are consistently juicy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with fresh ingredients and that signature soft potato bun. Unlike many other fast-food places, everything tastes high quality and freshly made. The ShackBurger is a classic that never disappoints, but there are also fun seasonal specials that keep things interesting. Fries are crispy and addictive, and of course, the shakes are rich, creamy, and the perfect sweet finish. What makes Shake Shack stand out is not just the food, but also the vibe. Even though it’s technically a chain, it feels more personal and welcoming. The staff are usually upbeat and friendly, and the locations (especially the original Madison Square Park spot) have that authentic New York atmosphere. It’s the kind of place you can go for a quick bite, but still leave completely satisfied. For us, it’s become a must on every trip to NYC. If you’re looking for the best burger chain in the city, Shake Shack is it.
September 21 · Marc GoebelI ordered from Uber Eats - originally I was going to order from another closer location but I checked the reviews and I didn’t like it. I found this one and it’s a 30-minute wait but I trusted the reviews. The food came and I was surprised to see a straw and ketchup included in the bag. People normally forget and this made me happy. A+The burger was well seasoned and had the right amount of sauce even cold it was good. The fries were also cooked well. The milkshake was also amazing thanks again for putting a straw in the bag. I’m very happy with my order and I want to take the time to thank all the workers for making it will love. This first time I ordered outside of Manhattan and exactly had good food and service. I can’t tell you how many times I had to drink it from the cup and how many times I had unseasoned burgers.I will be ordering from again only I’m ordering more food. Thank you guys so much I have been having such a hard time in life this uplifted me.
July 31 · Alicia WatkinsNegative stars. Waited 36 minutes and spent $12 on this turdburger in a paper sack. Only positive was I spotted Cornell West walking by while waiting with the mob in front of the counter, half of whom were missing items or got an incorrect order.
June 27 · Daniel LeRoyThe “uncut bacon” cheese fries were a total joke—more cheese than bacon, and what bacon there was soggy and uninspired. The patties came out overcooked and dry, robbing the burger of any flavor or juiciness.
July 24 · Shiyi WI ordered my food around 11:20 on a Monday. There was not much of a line (to order), but dozens of people waiting for food….which is a sign , but I had time to kill.As I waited, nearly every person who picked up their food had something wrong with it….whether it was missing items or whatnot.I waited about 30 minutes for my food, which I wouldn’t have minded if the food was actually up to par. I had a plain double cheeseburger. The parties are SMALL (like smaller than five guys). The cheese on top was almost all melted off and burned on the griddle. The burger, burnt cheese and all was given to me.I also got French fries with a cheese sauce. The cheese sauce came on the side, and was lukewarm at best.I honestly wish I went somewhere else…but a burger sounded good.
