The Palm Bar & Grille Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For New York locals and visitors passing through the city’s international gateway, The Palm Bar & Grille at JFK offers a familiar taste of metropolitan dining quality. This establishment is an airport outpost of the world-famous The Palm steakhouse chain, which originated on Second Avenue in New York City in 1926. Located in Queens, this location brings the essence of the classic American steakhouse—with its signature focus on high-quality steaks, fresh seafood, and Italian-American cuisine—to the busy airport environment.
Categorized as a versatile venue, it functions as a Bar & Grill, American restaurant, Seafood restaurant, and a true Steak house. This diversity means it caters to a wide range of tastes, from travelers craving a hearty Prime Ribeye or a simple yet elevated Classic Burger, to those desiring Italian favorites like Pappardelle Bolognese or Chicken Parmigiana. Positioned to serve both Locals and Tourists, The Palm provides a welcome, casual yet refined Atmosphere for passengers needing to relax and enjoy a proper meal before or after a flight.
Location and Accessibility
The Palm Bar & Grille is strategically located at 3-03 30th St, Queens, NY 10001, USA, which places it within John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), specifically in Terminal 4. This is an essential detail for New York-based customers, as it signifies its role as an exclusive airport dining destination.
The establishment is situated within the Retail Hall of Terminal 4, accessible to all passengers and employees who have cleared security, and historically, it was noted to be available in the pre-security public area as well, though current information places it post-security on Level 3 near the gates. This positioning makes it a highly convenient, sit-down dining choice right where travelers need it most.
Crucially, The Palm demonstrates a commitment to inclusive accessibility, offering:

- Wheelchair accessible restroom
- Wheelchair accessible seating

What is worth choosing
For New York locals or frequent travelers, The Palm Bar & Grille is worth choosing because it delivers a genuine, sit-down dining experience that is a noticeable upgrade from the fast-casual options typically dominating the airport landscape. What makes it stand out in the crowded JFK Terminal 4 is its dedication to its steakhouse roots, offering a Prime New York Strip or fresh Seafood that provides a moment of genuine, high-quality dining amidst the chaos of travel.
While the prices reflect the high cost of airport concessions—with menu items like the Classic Burger priced at $30.00—you are paying for the legacy of a famed New York restaurant, full table service, and a sophisticated Bar onsite with creative cocktails. It is an ideal spot for those with a longer layover or those who prioritize a relaxed, comfortable meal with full amenities over a hurried quick bite. It is the place to choose when you need a respite and want to enjoy a Lobster Bisque or an expertly mixed cocktail—like the Italian 75—in a casual, yet classic, New York setting.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1TL;DR: 40 dollars for a terrible burger and friesI spent 40 dollars for a cheeseburger and fries. It was a 30 dollar burger plus tax, tip, and an unexplained fee. I get it's an airport but that's ridiculous. Burger bun was dry and had no flavor, fries were cold and soggy, and the burger itself was 'meh' at best. The only reason I'm not giving a one star is because the service and atmosphere was great. Still, I highly recommend you just go to shake shack, there are two in the terminal.
July 29 · Evan BloomAfter 14 hours on planes my wife and I wanted a place to relax and eat a good meal. The food and service met our expectations. Then a lady walked in with a dog. As a service dog owner I was appalled at what I saw here. The dog was obviously not a service animal as it led off at the end of the leash and wandered around. Then they were seated the dog wandered around the table and even jumped up on the owners lap and even onto the table top. They should have been escorted out for the health code violations alone. I will not return.
August 05 · Glen WilliamsOverpriced and poor quality. The staff was very nice, from the hostess to the waiter; a guy with long hair was very welcoming and kind from the start. On the other hand, the food is bad. I had a salad and a can of beer. My partner had a burger and orange juice. The bill before tip was $97.The salad had nothing special; it felt like a salad mix from Trader Joe’s. The steak was nothing different from what I can do at home (I barely cook). It’s one of those places that feel forgotten and expensive. I’d suggest going to another place, or even McDonald’s or some fast food restaurant.
July 08 · Juan Buchelli⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five-Star Review for The Palm at JFK Airport – Shoutout to Freddy!I had an amazing experience at The Palm in JFK Airport, and I have to give a huge shoutout to our waiter, Freddy. From start to finish, he was absolutely top-tier! Super friendly, very informative, and he really helped me choose the perfect meal. I told him what I was in the mood for, and he came through with a delicious recommendation. My daughter was happy and satisfied too!My daughter ordered the salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies, and she loved every bite. I went with the grilled chicken (well done) topped with bacon and avocado—so good! The flavors were on point, and everything was cooked perfectly‼️‼️What I appreciated most was his honesty and helpful attitude. He even pointed us in the right direction for the bathrooms—just a small thing, but it shows he cares about making sure guests are taken care of.10 out of 10—Freddy is the bomb! If you stop by The Palm at JFK, ask for Freddy. You won’t regret it!
June 20 · Mrs WilliamsWorst place to be. Not only to eat, but to be. - The waitress was shouting to her colleagues continously, I had to ask 2 and 3 times for my lunch as they seemed they forgot. She threw at my face the check after I tipped her 10%. Should’ve been 0% and the complaint book. This no service/always tip is getting out of hands. They get used to always receive a very high percentage tip without offering at least a good service. $55 for a small beer and a mediocre burguer. This only happens here. Disgusting.
