★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I visited two Hands in Soho with a friend on August 21st. We ordered three plates — the salmon grain bowl, the acai bowl with berries and granola, and the avocado toast topped with a poached egg. Everything looked amazing and tasted fresh, healthy, and delicious. Honestly, the food is 10/10 and beautifully prepared. But need more salt. I’m not being mean or anything you can see I always give high reviews.Unfortunately, the service really disappointed me. The male server suggested adding peanut butter and extra eggs, but never told us it would cost extra. When the bill came, I was charged an additional $10 without any notice. As someone who works in service myself, I think it’s very important to explain to customers when something comes at an extra charge. Because he asked “ do you want an egg on it” asking if that was optional free of charge- he was ( dark skin) and the women in the front keep rushing us , I don’t get why she’s rushing us and not wanting to take our orders so we can leave faster like make it make senseOn top of that, the woman at the counter told us right away “no reservation” and that we only had one hour at the table, which felt rushed and unwelcoming. So overall: the food was excellent and I would recommend it for the flavors, but the service experience left me frustrated. Clear communication and a friendlier approach would make this place so much better.
September 01 · Ana ZhengGood food. The scramed eggs with sourdough is okay and the burrito was really good, i truly recommend it. But we ordered a espresso mascarpone bread that unfortunately, was not in its best days. The bread was dry and not fluffy at all, altough the mascarpone cream was fine.
April 10 · Luiz Gustavo Costa MansoSeated immediately as walk-ins for Friday late lunch, fast service, food was *chef's kiss* delicious.Didn't realize it was Australian inspired until I read the other reviews, it was certainly better than most American standard fayre.
July 04 · J-Rocks!I recently went here for lunch on a Sunday with a couple of my friends. The server was nice but didn’t talk much though (I understand because it was lunch hour on a weekend). We had inside seating with no reservation but were able to be seated within 10 minutes. Food taste was great. However, the portion you get for the price you’re paying was not worth it. I had the brekky muffuletta which again tasted great but it was $17 for what looked like the equivalent of 1/3 of a normal sandwich. My friends tried the breakfast burrito and the smashed avocado toast in which they said were average for the price point and could’ve made it at home instead.
July 06 · Brittany JesterThe bowl was surprisingly good! Something different then the avocado toasts or the egg Benedict’s that you usually get. The staff is super fast and friendly and they are toddler friendly as well.
