Mad for Chicken Chelsea Introduce
Welcome to the bustling heart of New York City, where a world of flavors awaits around every corner. For those seeking a truly exceptional culinary experience, especially one that celebrates the perfect crunch of fried chicken, there's a name that consistently stands out: Mad for Chicken Chelsea. Whether you're a local New Yorker looking for your next go-to spot or just visiting and craving a satisfying meal, this is a place that promises to deliver.
Mad for Chicken Chelsea has earned its reputation by perfecting the art of fried chicken. Unlike traditional fried chicken, the Korean style is known for its incredibly thin, crispy, and almost transparent skin, which is the result of a double-frying process. This technique locks in the juiciness of the meat while creating an irresistible texture on the outside. But it's not just about the chicken. The restaurant offers a menu rich with Korean classics, American favorites with a twist, and a variety of starters, ensuring there's something to please every palate. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, making it a great place for everything from a quick lunch to a relaxed dinner with friends.
Conveniently located at 153 8th Ave, New York, NY 10011, USA, Mad for Chicken Chelsea is perfectly positioned in one of the city's most dynamic neighborhoods. The restaurant is easily accessible for both locals and tourists, with public transportation options readily available. The bustling streets of Chelsea are always full of energy, and the restaurant's location makes it a great spot to grab a bite before or after exploring the area. For those driving, paid street parking is available, though it's important to be mindful of New York City's parking regulations.
A significant feature of this location is its commitment to accessibility. The restaurant offers a wheelchair accessible entrance and wheelchair accessible seating, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a meal comfortably. This dedication to inclusivity is a testament to the restaurant's welcoming nature. Whether you're meeting a group of friends or enjoying a solo dining experience, the location is ideal. The combination of a prime spot in Chelsea and thoughtful accessibility makes it a practical and enjoyable choice for a wide range of customers.

---With so many options on the menu, it can be hard to decide what to order. The true magic of Mad for Chicken lies in its signature dishes, which have won the hearts of many New Yorkers. The fried chicken, particularly the (M)5Drumsticks & 10Wings, is a must-try. The double-frying process ensures a crispy exterior and an incredibly juicy interior, a combination that has been lauded by countless customers. The sauce is flavorful without being overwhelming, and you can definitely taste the care and expertise that goes into each piece. A customer review highlighted this perfectly, noting the "crispy outside and very juicy inside" of the chicken.
Beyond the chicken, the restaurant's menu offers other standout items. The Toppoki (or tteokbokki), a popular Korean street food made from soft rice cakes, is a dish that has received glowing reviews. One customer even re-ordered it the very next day, a testament to its deliciousness. They recommend ordering the regular version to get the authentic taste of the sauce, which is a great tip for first-timers. The Scallion Chicken is another popular choice, offering a fresh and flavorful alternative. For those who enjoy a bit of spice, the Kimchi Quesadilla and Kimchi Fried Rice are excellent choices that showcase the restaurant's fusion of flavors.
When it comes to sides, don't miss out on the Japchae, a sweet and savory Korean glass noodle dish, or the perfectly seasoned Parmesan Truffle Fries. The variety of offerings, from the comforting Chicken Tortilla Soup to the adventurous Mad Nachos, means you can always find something new to try. The restaurant's dedication to quality ingredients and traditional preparation methods shines through in every dish, making it a truly worthwhile dining experience for anyone in New York.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1First tome trying halal Korea restaurant in NYC, I could say the teokpokki is really goooooodddd !! I reordered the next day for teokpokki through ubereats. I recommend to just order the regular teokpokki to have original taste of its sauce. The chicken is also scrumptious. It’s crispy outside and very juicy inside. I suggest to bring wet wipes for your hands :)My overall experience is great!
September 11 · Anna RahmadiantyOh wow!!!The taste of the chicken wings and the chicken drumsticks were just fabulous. The skin is crispy and the meat juicy, the sauce on it nicely strong and spicy. Will definitely come again for the food! And can recommend everyone to go here.
April 23 · YB YavuzVisited twice. Food 10/10, but giving two stars for service because I think they’re trying, but overall, service is horrendous. Super understaffed. Walked in to a sign at the host table stating, ‘Please wait to be seated’, only for us to seat ourselves. No one came to us, greeted us or anything. We ordered their 1/2 and 1/2 chicken and Toppoki. We got our chicken, but the Toppoki took ages to come, we checked in on status and it took even longer — arrived right as we were asking for the check.A server kept coming to our table with menu items we never ordered and a lady, who I believe to be the hostess, was doing 4 jobs at once — hosting, serving, bartending, and waitressing multiple tables at once. She’s also the only one smiling in the restaurant. My boyfriend and I LOVE the food, we’ve recommended this place plenty of times and we’ll be back, but REALLY hoping the service improves.
July 18 · Nkenge BrownAverage Korean fried chicken spot. I prefer Korea town for my korean friend chicken. Food, service, and atmosphere were all average. Not bad but not great either.
April 26 · Jason WongThis restaurant will become your special occasion spot. The meal quality here is notably excellent. The food tastes great, the service works well, and prices stay fair. Good meals. Genuinely excellent staff. I'm content with my choice to dine here.
